The man fell down a silo chute and became trapped. Dozens of firefighters tried to save the man during a complicated rescue attempt. Reporter the call for help came around 9 45 this morning from this farm in worcester township. What followed was an hour long rescue attempt inside chute. Unfortunately, it all ended tragically. Investigators estimate this corn silo was about 80 feet high and red acker was doing work on it. He climbed a ladder halfway up when he suddenly fell backwards down a tight silo chute. Apparently while the man was servicing the silo, he slipped and fell and became wedged, essentially, face up, feet up, and could not free himself. Reporter captain doug hunter says the mans father 40 firefighters, including a confined spaces team rushed to the farm. They quickly realized it would be a complicated operation that lasted about an hour. It is a very constricted space. Authorities say just after 8 00 this morning, the driver of that suv you see right there did not realize that a school bus had come to a stop ahead of him. The suv veered to the right and up on a sidewalk where the vehicle struck the kids. Neighbors scrambled to get everybody from under that suv. I saw this little girl was up under the car, so it was about seven or eight of us, i dont know how many the car up. So when we got it up high enough, the police pulled the kid from under the car. Boy, i was so thankful that we could get her out. Those kids were rushed to local hospitals. At last check, two were listed in critical condition, another in serious. The driver is also in the hospital in serious condition. Investigators say that driver could be cited for driving without insurance and injured. Rob, a heartbreaking story. A man accused of killing a woman during a road rage incident was this court today. Witnesses say they saw Christopher Taylor tailing whitney grays car. They say he pulled out a gun and shot the mother who was driving with her 6monthold and 3yearold sons in the backseat. Mortally wounded, controlled the vehicle with her babies on it, got out on her own two feet shot the woman pulled her van onto a nearby yard. He still cant see how she managed to make sure her family was safe. Taylor was later arrested in south dakota charged with seconddegree murder. Awful story.
