In henry county a woman who had been missing since wednesday afternoon is in the hospital after she was deputies tell wfxr news that 62yearold Bernice Proctor was found in a wooded area near her apartment at around 4this morning. She was transported to Memorial Hospital of martinsville and henry county for treatment. Medical personnel there are treating her for hypothermia and dehydration. Appalachian power crews continue to work on Power Outages caused by monday nights ice storm. Not everyone is back up and running yet though. The hardest hit area remains roanoke city where over 1,000 customers remain without power this morning. All together, about 3,600 customers in roanoke, franklin, campbell, botetourt, and patrick counties still need work done and patrick counties, power is expected to be restored shortly, but it may not be until late tonight that power is restored to most customers in franklin and roanoke counties as well as roanoke city. More than 650 aep workers including 500 line workers and 150 tree contractors continue to work this morning to restore power to these remaining customers.
