Police here at Lincoln Village apartment complex for hours yesterday after 21yearold taj mcdonald had killed his nephew. He was arrested after Police Arrived right here, and when they went inside the apartment they found the threeyearold on the couch. Now, police say that he had injuries to his face and neck but that he was conscience. He was immediately rushed to the hospital. According to Police Mcdonald was babysitting his nephew while the boys father was at work. One man who wanted to remain anonymous told us that he was child crying. Little kid screaming and crying and i didnt think of it. Little kid crying. Stephanie man didnt see any adults coming out of the apartment and didnt realize what was going on. Mcdonald facing a number of charges, including attempted murder and indidy sent assault and battery of someone under the age of 14. We will be in court and have the very latt news starting at 4 00. New this morning we have learned the mother and son were both suspects in the murder of wealthy grandfather. Daniel miller has been following the latest development for us. Daniel, the story keeps getting more bizarre. Federal investigators trying to get to the bottom of what happened out at sea. Nathan carman and his mom left for fishing trip in rhode island about two weeks ago and last sunday nathan was found floating on life raft without his mom. Police in Middletown Connecticut searched linda carmans home. Not clear what they were looking for but they were seen things taken from the house. Nathan who lives in vermont says his boat sank and he was unable to save his mother and now being endangerment as he made repairs to the boat that caused it to sink. But this morning we are also learning more about the murder of nathans very wealthy grandfather. He was a developer. Here is timeline investigators are working on. In 2011 nathan was checked into a psychiatric ward. It was there that his mom and grandfather got into a fight about nathans medical care and about money. Linda was charged with assault after allegedly punching her father repeatedly in the head. Grandfather was found shot to death in his home. Police say nothing was stolen and no one broke in, so they looked to linda as their prime suspect. The murder remains unsolved and man left at least 42 million to his four children. Linda carmans taryn says his client put son first in her life and that he loved his grandfather. He w a her and they were fishing. One person died, more than 100 were hurt as train sped over a safety barrier and plowed into into hoboken. 48yearold Thomas Gallagher was hurt and released the hospital hours after the crash. Investigators say the train was speeding as it approached the station and now they are trying to find out why the brakes did not activate. We are going to be pulling that event recorder from the locomotive. Also event recorder in the cab is a 34yearold lawyer from new jersey who just dropped her toddler off at daycare before going to the train station. Two people hit by a tow truck at busy intersection in newton. This was breaking on fox25 news at ten and 11. The victims were hit at corner of beacon street and langley road in Newton Center.
