Students say its one of several recent fights. Currently one Police Officer is stationed at the school. Some students say it isnt enough. Its not good for the school and its distracting because all kids are focused on is where is there going to be another fight if we had a couple more most these fights wouldnt happen. Police say criminal charges have involved in the fight. Just into the newsroom. A chase and crash in des moines. Police say it started around 930 when they spotted a stolen jeep driving along forrest avenue. The driver tried getting away. But after just a few blocks lost control and crashed into a tree near 16th and forrest. Police arrested the 15year old driver. Two other teens in the car were taken to the hospital with injuries. A des moines man is charged with robbing a pizza delivery driver. 34year old anzie bester faces a pair of felony charges for robbery and burglary. Hes accused of robbing a pizza hut driver at gun point. Police say bester approached the driver earlier this month, as he delived a pizza to this home in the 32hundred block of 5th street. A day later. A Northern Lights pizza deliver driver was robbed. That incident happened in the onethousand block of 17th street. Police dont think the two cases are connected. Caseys General Stores is warning customers about a lessviolent form of theft. The company says it recently found six credit card skimming machines installed on gas pumps. Five were in nebraska. And the sixth was located on a pump at a store in davenport. The devices were removed and turned over to police. Caseys is still trying to find out if any credit card numbers were stolen. Attorneys for the missouri Highway Patrol were slapped with sanctions today for failing to turn over information regarding the drowning death of a clive man at the lake of the ozarks last year. Brandon ellingson drowned while handcuffed and in police custody. His family has filed a lawsuit against the arresting officer and the state of missouri. Claiming ellingsons civil rights were violated. Today. A missouri judge sanctioned attorneys representing the Missouri State patrol for not producing a log of emails. That the state claims should remain confidential. Because they contain communication between attorneys and their clients. The judge fined the Missouri AttorneyGenerals Office 95hundred dollars and ordered the states attorneys to produce the log by november 17th. Three students were in a school bus involved in a crash today outside of ames. And none of them was injured. It happened just after four oclock. This is along highway 30 at 580th avenue. Police say the bus driver was ticketed. A Des Moines School bus driver says an intersection where busses drive everyday is so dangerous, its just a matter of time before somebody gets killed.
