Terry sater reports, this time they left some dna at 60th and coldspring. They had a very systematic approach to it. Again, very brazen. Greenfield Police DetectiveChuck Fletcher says when you watch this greenfield speedways surveillance video, you see one suspect with a dark shirt walk up and grab a hot dog. Shirt sneaks behind the clerk at the counter and heads for the Managers Office where the newport cigarettes are stored. The man with the hotdog spots the open cash register, goes behind the counter, where a second store worker tries to stop him. Theres a struggle there, and that force makes it a robbery. The clerk gets punched and thrown to the ground, but the clerk returns to the fight for the cash. Not the biggest employee. But again, its not the size of the dog in the fight. Its the size of the fight in the dog, and that employee was just letting him have it. In the struggle, hot dog man drops the wiener in the cash register. When the hotdog fell out of the suspects mouth, an evidence technician decided to swab it for dna. Your mom tells you not to chew with your mouth full, and i say dont rob with your mouth full. Police are waiting on the crime lab results on the dna swab, but the detective says the hot dog suspect from the june incident also left behind a fingerprint on one of the cigarette cartons, and the print leads to this man, 37yearold miguel kirkwood. Today, the Milwaukee CountySheriffs Office held its annual awards luncheon at the Intercontinental Hotel in downtown milwaukee. Awards were given to deputies, correction officers, and others who have been involved in heroic acts over the past year, including a deputy that stopped attempted carjackers. Almost exactly one year ago a woman flagged down the deputy after the teens tried stealing her car near 16th and scott street in milwaukee. Deputy wesy police, chased the teens for seven miles. It ended when the suspects van became wedged between a parked car and school bus. The five teens took off, but were later arrested. This is the second commendation for Deputy Sheriff boone.
