It comes ahead of a planned speech on immigration tonight in arizona. The meeting comes as a bit of a surprise. President enrique pena kneeehtoe nieto has sharply criticized trump in the past. The mexican p both trump and democratic candidate Hillary Clinton to his country for meetings. Clinton speaking today at the American LegionNational Convention commented on trumps meeting in mexico. It certainly takes more than trying to make up for a year of insults and insinuations by dropping in on our neighbors for a few hours then flying home again. That is not how it works. We had a very substantive, direct, and constructive presenting my views about the impacts of current tread and immigration policies. Trump himself is dealing with supporters accusing him of going soft on his immigration stance. Something hell aim to clear up in tonights speech. The Marquette University law school releasing a new poll today. It shows that donald trump is back in the race here in wisconsin. Political reporter t the new numbers. In just three weeks time, wisconsin has gone from blowout to ballgame in the president ial race. But in the us senate race, theres uncertainty. The marquette law poll had another surprise in store. Three weeks after people in the crowd gasped when the poll showed Hillary Clinton holding a 15 point lead. Clintons lead is now just three. She has fallen off a fair bit the polls director, charles franklin, voters is honesty. 35 percent now view her favorably, compared with 43 percent earlier this month. That is still better than donald trump. I think this is a case of Campaign Strategy and whether it will evolve while her running mate tim kaine has campaigned here, clinton hasnt held an event in wisconsin since april. There may have been a sense that it was fine to let trump be trump because that was thought to be damaging in early august, but i think more recently, it raises the question of whethe is an effective strategy democrats said the poll overestimated gop performance. Republicans said the results showed how the dynamics of the race have shifted. A second wisconsin poll released wednesday, from monmouth university, seemed to confirm a close president ial race. I think this tightening certainly shows that we could be considered a competitive state but in wisconsins us senate race, the two polls split. Marquette showed Russ Feingold leading month. But monmouth had feingold 13 points ahead. Governor walkers Approval Rating ticked up in this poll. His unfavorability is at the lowest in nearly two years. This, as walker continues to consider running for a possible third term. Live, theo keith, fox6 news.
