But it is still considered extremely dangerous. Forecasters predict storm surge in some areas could be as high as 11 feet and as many as 15 inches of rain could fall. The National Weather service warned that some places could be uninhabitable for weeks or months. Hurricane matthew has already killed hundreds in the caribbean. The death toll now over 280 in haiti. The linneman linuhmin family began their week in hilton head, South Carolina before mandatory evacuations were ordered. The family then drove to their planned end destination ear closed. Its only the fourth time in history thats happened. The linnemans are sheltered in place inside their hotel. They say the hotels are still providing food, but the lines for pizza was nearly 2 hours weve just gotten to the point where we are just going to laugh it off and say we survived Something Else on vacation and now its a category 4 hurricane. The linnemans are due to fly out of orlando on sunday. Meanwhile some wisconsinites are headed right into the storm. The red cross is sending 18 trained wisconsin volunteers to the hardest hit areas. Examiners office responding to a Fatal Shooting this morning. It happened around 445 near 38th and wright. Police do confirm that this is a shooting and are investigating. Less than half an hour later around 815 Police Responded to another nonFatal Shooting. This one near 18th and pearl. Investigators say a 25yearold man was shot after he was confronted by an unknown suspect. He was taken to the hospital. Police say a fight over a car led to another shooting around 1030 last night. This happened near 83rd and glen. Officials say during the fight, the suspect grabbed a gun and shot a 25 yearo the hospital and is expected to survive. A 28yearold man is in the hospital after he was grazed by a bullet. The victim says he was driving near 35th and center around 1130 last night when a suspect fired several shots into his vehicle. The victim then drove himself to the hospital. Police are still looking for suspects in each of these cases.
