The suspect in that shooting has been shot and killed by officers. Kims in the newsroom with the latest. Police say the officers were responding to a domestic disturbance call when the gunman opened fire. Officials say when the officers made it on scene, they came under fire. The suspect was wearing body armor and was armed with a rifle. Fellow officers dragged the wounded officers out of the line of fire and eventually shot and killed the gunman. Meanwhile nine additional Police Officers were being treated for minor injuries and stress, the Suffolk CountyDistrict Attorney investigate the incident. Officers were called to appleton and glendale just before 1230 this morning. Investigators say the 27yearold victim with arguing with the suspect. Mayor tom barrett says more people are taking advantage of early voting than in years past thisbecause for the first time. The city can offer early voting at multiple locations but there have also been issues with ballots mailed in. Deandra corinthios is live downtown with more were told theres going to be a hearing tomorrow to sort this all out but some absentee ballots mailed in could be disqualified. Mail in absentee ballots require a witness signature and their address. Including their municipality. Mayor tom barrett and the executive director of the city of Milwaukee Election Commission gave an update wednesday on the problem. They said about 600 ballots in the city have been impacted. The Milwaukee Election Commission was told theyll have to contact the voters and get their permission to use the municipality on the envelope. Or themselves. Officials say a mailing went out notifying everyone whose ballots were erroneous. Often the witness lives in the same home as the voter. And it is a simple case of human error. If you are witnessing an absentee ballot make sure you put the municipality where you reside otherwise they are going to throw it out and i think it is unfair i think it is a way to make it more difficult for people to vote but that is what we are dealing with meanwhile more than 6100 people far more than in years past as a federal judge struck down voting restrictions earlier this year. Browne led police in a web of lies defending her stolen identity. The criminal complaint states that browne used a milwaukee womans nurse credentials to get the job at reedsburg area medical center. Browne was still going through training when other hospital employees brought up concerns about her work.
