That seventh inning last night in which they scored three runs, that was the breakout they were waiting for. After the game the players and manager Matt Williams talked about keeping the momentum on their side. We find ourselves in the same position we were today. You know, if we lose tomorrow, then its all over. So we, you know, were in the same spot. We feel good. You know, getting this win. It was big. And the momentum shifted a little bit. But its up to us to keep it on our side. Now, it was a real Party Atmosphere in the club house after the game. They had the smoke machine and the strobe lights going. Thats what they do after every win. There was loud music going on. Theyre feeling really good about today. One bit of news were hearing is we look forward if we get through tonight, there are reports that manager Matt Williams has already decided who the starting pitcher is going to be from game five if they should get to that back in washington and the reports are that its jordan zimmerman. In a 7 on your side consumer alert tonight we report on the new problems created by new technology. Its ingrained in every drivers head. Dont text and drive. Dont talk on your cell phone. But what if hands Free Technology is actually worse . Triplea says that distracted driving is responsible for 3,000 fatalities each year. And in their new report out this morning it says that hands Free Technology may increase drivers mental distraction. Some of the voiced based technologies are stealing attention from the driver so theyre not paying attention to the road. Researchers at the university of utah looked at voice activated systems in vehicles from six different auto makers. Play a c. D. Oh, heavens. Calling at home. The less accurate the system the more distracted the driver. Scoring the best was toyota. Its system is about the same level of distraction as listening to a book on tape. Whatever i would say, it got it right the first time. The most distracting . The system used by chevrolet. The automaker told abc the study found no correlation to increased crash risk. Its not just the carmakers. Call home. Triplea also listed apples siri and found sending texts and surfing social media without hands or eyes was more distracting than the in car voice activation systems. Another shocking discovery at a Daycare Center. Why a mother was arrested for Daycare Center. Why a mother was arrested for what her child a shocking discovery at a daycare in delaware. A 4yearold was handing out bags of heroin to other children. All of this happened at a daycare in selbyville, delaware. The mother was arrested after her child who brought the heroin in a backpack. Well, this is the Daycare Center where it happened yesterday morning about 11 45 a. M. This is selbyville, delaware not far from fenwick island. A little girl came to school here with a backpack that was new to her. She opened it up and found plastic bags inside. She thought it was candy and started handing them out to her very young classmates. Well, the teacher here, a staff member, saw that and got ahold of the bags and suspected that it was drugs. The police were called. They got ahold of it and confirmed it was in fact heroin, 249 bags of heroin in this little Daycare Center. The Daycare Center director told us off camera that she just thanks god that no one was able to open one of those bags. Nobody was hurt. Even so, several were transported to the hospital for checkups. The Daycare Center serves the neighborhood here. We had an opportunity to talk to several people. There is a mixture of opinion. Some say theyre horrified. As a parent i wouldnt imagine how it would be to get a phone call like that. It is heart breaking. Others are defending the mother of the little girl. Her name is ashley tull. She was arrested. She has now been released on bond. People we talked to in this neighborhood say she is a wonderful mother. That her children, three of them, are her entire life. She never would have done anything like this intentionally. The Virginia Department of health is monitoring cases of enterovirus 68 in several locations were told including northern virginia. A cold front kind of a complex system with an area of low pressure spinning across the ohio valley and that shoots northward and will push all of this eastward tonight. So at the moment you can see on satellite we have fairly clear skies, patches of clear skies in the metro area but the overcast now just crossing interstate 81. The shenandoah valley. We have the first batch of rain to deal with probably coming into our western suburbs a little after 7 00 tonight. The evening showers and then around 2 00 comes the cold front later tonight. 11 00, midnight. Even the early overnight hours. If everything works as scheduled, everything should push through by 5 00 or 6 00 in the morning. As youll see here in a few minutes the 5 00 or 6 00 time period is pretty important to a lot of folks.
