Bob emler is standing by looking at the roads and maps for us. How does it look right now . In Prince Georges County on the beltway both ways very slow getting to the ramps to go north on i95 and the entire trip will point forward to 216. Theres emergency road work going on there. Only two lanes are getting by at the right. A severe backup are with us on 95 this afternoon. And b. W. Parkway is volume delays. Lanes are open there. Down to the usual spots headed for 270 and 66 headed west delays from route 7 most of the way out towards route 50. There was road work earlier. Thats gone but still those delays are with us. Take a look at our cameras, 95 south briefly slow getting over the occoquan. Beyond that, not much traffic getting to stafford. 395 heading southbound does slow down heading south at the pentagon. Theres a crash on the shoulder getting attention. Beyond, that its slow to landmark and beltway at connecticut avenue, brief slowdowns on the inner loop side headed for silver spring. Im bob emler for wtop radio. By the way, abc 7 crews found two stations charging less than 2 for a gallon of regular unleaded. And this was inside the beltway today. One is the liberty along North Washington street right there in old towne. The second is the arlington Auto Services station along columbia pike in arlington. Both charging 1. 99. You can always find the gas you at wjla. Com. Youre going to start a line there tonight . Probably. Actually 1. 99. 9. As a kid, i asked my dad, why is it always. 9 . I dont know. Sounds better than the next penny, i guess. Whats the deal for tomorrow . Well have some snow sleet and rain. And these storms coming from the west thashgsz a dividing line issue. Who is going to get the sleet and rain back and forth . Its not going to be a big storm. We get an inch or two or two or three. Thats a headache. Its a mess. If it happens during the day, morning time we know what happens. We get a disproportionate number of problems related. Thats going to be the deal again. In preparation of this possibility, the National Weather service has issued a Winter Weather advisory in the lovely shade of purple. If youre still watching black and white its a medium gray. Issued starting at 4 00 a. M. Tomorrow morning in the northern suburbs. Runs through the entire day until 6 00 p. M. You notice Southern Maryland peninsula areas south and west of stafford and spotsylvania, you miss this one. You wouldnt think about snow. Its 49 at Reagan National and the temperatures will drop a bit. Only to these levels. Computer models indicate well be around freedzing for most of the area tomorrow. 35 for a low in the city. And thats part of the issue, trying to come up with numbers. How much snow is going to stick because a fair amount is going to melt and of course theres going to be the issue of the rain snow dividing line. We have the upper level system of the clipper, southern Stream Energy in the jet. Thats going to come through the area tomorrow. A Little Package of rain is out of here right now. So according to the modeling i think were going to see some time between 6 00 a. M. And mid morning, the precipitation mostly in the form of snow north and west. Maybe rain south and east of town move in. As we get through the arch could get briefly heavier. Rain snow line will be the issue. Put it together and put our Heads Together thats what were going to come up with. Rapidly clear skies. Most areas will be south of this area, if we get any snow bands or snow bursts which happens sometimes with little clippers it could be a little bit more than that. Its not going to be six inches. Its not going to be two feet. Schools arent going to be closed for two weeks. I suspect there will be some well thought out delays for schools in some sections in the morning and may be thinking about giving yourself plenty of extra time about the impact and then clear it out and maybe have a chance rain by saturday. Its those little storms and little ones that cause the biggest headaches. Absolutely. Ok. Just like this. Littlest ones cause the biggest headach
