It brought things to a halt down here guys. Tv news is frequently criticized for being shallow and superficial. Often after a Southern California car chase dominates a slow afternoon. Well, heres proof weve risen above that. A llama chase through the streets of sun city, arizona. For more than a halfhour, two llamas, one black and the other white ran through yards and dashed in and out of traffic and generally gave their human pursuer the slip. While car chases are fast and furious, this pursuit mixed all kinds of metaphors. It was man vs. Animal. Animal vs. Machine in the form of the traffic. This was played out in a huge arizona retirement community, maybe the cars were only going, say, 25 they caught thelma and louise. Thats what they named them, not with a tranquilizer dart or stun gun, no they first caught louise when a guy got her in a headlock and then it was larger on her own and on the run what got her was the triumph of technique over that technology. No animal or human was hurt and the republic is safe this afternoon. See . Much better than a car chase. Guys . That was a good summary. We appreciate that. Thelma had some moves, too.
