Reporter we now know the suspect is a minor. Police say he was taken into custody almost immediately after the call came in, but their investigation is far from over. A nashua neighborhood shut down, crime e were shot just before seven this 7 00 this morning at the corner of ash and lake streets. This is an area thats full of kids, theres so many kids, thats very scary. Reporter moments after Police Received a call about shots fired, a City Hospital reported two gunshot victims had arrived on their own. A responding officer on his way to the scene saw a male juvenile allegedly tampering with evidence. He was identified as the suspect. There was no threat to safety or anything like that. Reporter nearby schools were unaffected by the investigation after police deemed there was no threat. Some neighbors say its frightening but they feel safe. The justices listened to argument today and will determine if the man convicted of killing a unh student Lizzi Marriott should get a new trial. Wmurs Andy Hershberger joins us live with more. Reporter lawyers for Seth Mazzaglia are asking the Supreme Court to consider whether he was given a full and fair trial for the murder of lizzy marriott. Mazzaglia was convicted of first degree m student. Prosecutors say he lured the teenager to his apartment and strangled her, then threw her body in the ocean never to be found. Defense lawyers claim marriott may have died during a consensual sexual encounter and her sexual history should have been explored at trial. Prosecutors say that type of evidence is covered by the states rape shield law and that the case against mazzaglia was powerful based largely on eyewitness testimony.
