A lot of this will be to the east by lunchtime and in to the afternoon a westerly wind will dry us out. Temperatures before the cooler air gets here jump from the temperatures which start near 40. Up in to the 40s to lower range of the 50s in to the afternoon. Notice the winds early this among. Not too bad to take. The general southwesterly direction to keep the milder air in place with the clouds and the risk of a shower this morning. It should push temperatures out of the mid to upper 40s in the North Country to lower to mid 50s in southern spots this afternoon before the cooler air starts to win out. A lot of areas down in to the 20s. High temperatures today ranging from 46 in far northern parts to the mid 50s in southern areas. Again kind of a gloomy start with plenty of clouds and the risk of a shower. In to the afternoon, partial sunshine and a building breeze out of the west which will temper things. Temperatures up in to the 50s should feel good. From there, we drop back temperatures in to the 20s. Tomorrow closer to the average. Still low to mid 40s with the sunshine will be in the mid to upper 30s up north. Next system starts to run in later tomorrow with an increase in clouds. Just cool enough that we may see an initial wintry mix. The best chance would be in western and Northern Areas. From there, temperatures again jump in to the 40s on wednesday afternoon. That means most of what well see for most of the day on wednesday will likely be in liquid form. Once that pulls away, we start cooling off again. Low to mid 40s by thursday and friday which is where well be in to next weekend. Today temperatures in the low to mid 50s with clouds giving way to partial sunshine. It will a mild and breezy afternoon after the risk of a shower. Clearing skies later on this evening. We turn cooler. A lot of areas down in the 20s. Well be around the freezing mark closer another shoreline. Temperatures a lot more 40s and 50s. Then we cool off from there. Back to the mid 30s by the end of the week. The voters in iowa will be taking part in the first caucuses of the 2016 president ial race tonight. When it comes to choosing the general election winners, iowans twice.
