This new initiative is raising eyebrows for some parents. The district calls it competency recovery days. Allowing students who have reached a certain level to take time off. Some students in bedford, will be getting an early winter break next week. Kids who are doing well in their classes don t need to show up, or take any midterm exams. If a student is passing their class, that a teacher can wave the midterm. Shelley it plan called comptency recovery days. Bedford high school will be schedule next week. So that classes will only be held for students who need extra help. S going to be happening with teachers and students academically, that going to be for students who have not yet mastered those key skills. And that s really what competency recovery is all about.
