Furious and saddened by this young person being killed. He was shot in the head. 16yearold armani hawkins. We want to show you video of what happened. Detectives set up tape here. The nypd has set up the teenager who died. Armani hankins was shot in the head. An 18yearold man was shot in the ankle and remains in the hospital. Surveillance video from the restaurant shows a group of people running towards dekalb avenue towards flat bush avenue extension. Gunfire erupted and they ran back from where they came. This was around 6 00 at night. People who live in the area say there are some teenagers who start fights when the nearby schools let out. You have the long island college, you have some high schools in the back over here. Its always during that time period when the kids are out. Police in South Carolina are this disturbing video shows an officer confronting and dragging this girl out of a classroom. It happened in Spring Valley high school. The Sheriffs Office says she was being disrupted for a disturbance she caused in the classroom. One of e male students told nbc news that she had ignored requests by her teacher to go to the discipline office. Thats when the School Resource officer ben fields was called in. This cell phone video showing officer fields approach her at her desk, grab her arm and put his arm around her neck. Eres a struggle. Police say she refused to go with them. She falls to the floor before being dragged to the front of the classroom. The district superintendent said they are deeply troubled and student safety is the priority. The officer is on administrative leave pending an internal investigation. The officer who is white is named as a defendant in a 2013 lawsuit that claims that he unfairly and recklessly targets africanamerican students with allegations of gang membership and criminal gang activity. His name is larry wilt. He went to the internet and tracked down mr. Wilts family. Wow, you know . The thing obviously had been there for decades. It was like him coming back again. Its a memory. Mr. Wilt actually passed away some 26 years ago. He found his wife in a nursing home some 40 miles away.
