Officials now say it is to smuggle a bomb on board that russian plane that exploded over egypt. Kerry barrett is in the newsroom with the latest. Michael, if this is true, it changes the magnitude of this disaster. Of course, officials now say that they do suspect there was a bomb on board this russian metro jet when it crashed over the sinai peninsula, killing all 224 people on board. We have concluded that there is a significant possibility that that crash was caused by an explosive device on board the aircraft. Britain has suspended all flights from the airport where the plane took off. Officials now believe that isis may, in fact, be behind this russian metro jet crash six days ago, saying perhaps it was baggage handlers or even ground crew that placed some sort of explosive device on board. They are not saying whether their intelligence comes from the crash site itself or whether it comes from the inflight data recorder. There is one hard piece of evidence. A u. S. Satellite does strongly suggest some sort of explosion. There was a heat flash detected at the time of the disaster that could only have come from either a catastrophic fault that caused the fuel tank to explode or a bomb. Russian doctors do report the injuries sustained by those that were in the back of the plane do match those of an explosion. It is important to note they havent found any hard evidence of a bomb in the debris, but if there was one, they will find it. Theyll find explosive residue, fragments of a timer, something to that effect. They will likely find it in the next few days. Michael . All right, kerry. Thank you so much.
