Reporter michael, the victim of this case, a 17yearold boy. He was just crossing the street here when a driver slammed into him. That driver just kept on going. Right now police say the driver is still on the loose. The victim is 17 years old. This was just before 11 00 p. M. Last night at junction and northern boulevard. Car parts and clothing were strewn across the street after the crash. Investigators say theyre looking for a black toyota camry, and its almost certain the car has visible damage to it as well. People who live here tell us theyre disgusted this driver left a teenager to die. You know, if they crash into somebody, just stay on the scene, no matter what the consequences. The consequence is going to be harder on them if they leave the scene than staying on the scene. Reporter and we just spoke victim. Suffolk county police rebound on will be on the campus of Lindenhurst High School after finding threats written on bathroom walls. Security will search bags. All afterschool activities will be canceled as of tomorrow. Extra security will also patrol the grounds of Long Beach High School as a threat was found scrawled on a students desk there. That followed a verbal threat made over the weekend. However, the district insists police did not find any evidence of real danger. And in orange county, the u. S. Sources familiar with the case tell news 4 that burke is expected to face civil rights charges in connection with the 2012 arrest of christopher loeb, who was charged with breaking into burkes apartmentissued suv. Loeb eventually pled guilty to stealing ammunition and a duffel bag belonging to burke, which contained pornography. Loeb alleges he was beaten by several Police Officers following his arrest and he was beaten at his home also. Several other Police Officers in Suffolk County could face charges in this case. This started in the bronx, 242nd street and broadway, when police tried to pull over a silver nissan. The driver of that sports car took off. Nypd officers chasing it on to the saw mill parkway in yonkers. Thats where the car made a uturn, went against traffic, and crashed. One person was arrested, the other shot by an officer. The investigation is too preliminary at this point. The officers are hospitalized. They havent been spoken to yet. The investigation did shut down the saw mill parkway well into the night. No word as to what led to that officer to fire his weapon. A blood sample from the new Jersey Police officer accused in Staten Island will now be tested for the date rape drug ghb. An attorney for linden officer pedro abad says theres evidence he was given the drug before the accident in march. Two friends died in that crash. And a veteran new jersey state trooper is now admitting to being drunk on the job when he rear ended another driver in october. Sergeant first class michael roadside pleaded guilty to a drunk driving charge stemming from the crash at a garden state parkway rest stop.
