First brand may bring a couple showers our way today. Some breaks in the cloud cover. Forecasting a high of 79 degrees. Some changes coming up for the weekend. Where a large crowd gathered after hearing the news. News many could not believe. Reporter out here theres still a crowd. Theyve been dancing to when doves cry and purple rain and theres a memorial on the sidewalk. Some flowers and candles. Theres been a celebration of princes life across the city. They sang along and danced. Fans by the hundreds gathered in spike lees neighborhood. There was a gathering that started during the afternoon outside of the apollo and lasted through the night. Prince died at his home in minnesota. People finding out yesterday afternoon. It happened days after performing in georgia. A cause of death has yet to be determined. An autopsy is scheduled for today. But there is talk that prince was suffering from the flu since the weekend. For his fans, just the chance to gather and mourn and celebrate men meant a lot to them. Police say that three men viciously beat that victim. One of them threw a rock at his head. This was all caught right up here on this camera here on this building. Look here at this video. You can see that man throwing the rock at the 32yearold victim. The other two suspects join in punching and kicking the victim. They took off with his wallet and cell phone. That victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition. This was a Second Attack last weekend. The first on saturday on glenmore avenue and 76th street. Police say the same three men came up behind a 25yearold man, knocked him to the ground and punched and kicked him in the head and body before taking that victim was also taken to the hospital and treated for cuts and bruises. Neighbors here telling us that the attacks are frightening. Were scared, everybody. My wife, a lot of people are scared. Scared. Police say the men theyre looking for are in their teens or in their 20s. They were all wearing dark hoodies at the time of the attacks. You can see one of the attackers there throwing a rock at the 32yearold victim and knocking him down. Then seconds later two other men join in, all three then punch and kick the victim in the head and body before taking off with his cell phone and wallet. This happened on sunday. It was the Second Attack last weekend. Police say on saturday the same three men beat and robbed a 25yearold man on glenmore avenue and 76th street. They knocked him to the ground and took off with his cell phone and wallet. Neighbors here say the first victim was screaming during the attack. Many around here frightened now to hear and see what happened. All i hear is somebody a lot of people come outside. The next thing i know, last night it happened here. Did you hear the screaming . No, no, someone told me. Reporter both victims suffered serious injuries. The rock victim has fractures to his head. Police are asking anyone who may have seen those men to call Crime Stoppers. That number 1800577tips. Back to you. Right now police are looking for the man who robbed and choked an 84yearold woman in the bronx. This happened on monday inside the victims apartment on hull avenue and east 209th street in norwood. The suspect forced the woman into her apartment, assaulted her and took off with her cash. She suffered bruising to her neck and hip. Right now the search is on for a gunman in brooklyn after a woman was grazed by a bullet as she was waiting for a bus. Happened at the intersection of mermaid avenue and west 33rd street in coney island. Was in line on the sidewalk when shots rang out. They say she didnt appear to be the intended target, that other people were in the street and shooting at each other. The woman was rushed to the hospital and is in serious but stable condition. Were waiting to find out what will happen to the pit bull that went on a vicious attack in new jersey. This was caught on camera the owner says her pit bull tobey went after a pomeranian, gripped the smaller dog by the throat. This attack happened a week ago. A Police Officer heard the screams and tried to wrestle the pit bull down. He was punching the dog, hitting him with the you know, the night stick. The dog had no reaction to it. Eventually the officer subdued the animal which has attacked before. According to police that pit bull is now with his previous owners. The smaller dogs scars are healing. The socalled ninja burglar has accepted a plea deal. Prosecute ors say that Robert Costanzo confessed to more than 100 breakins across the tristate area. Decade. He pled guilty to three counts of burglary. The statue of limitations expired on many of the cases he was accused of. He is expected to be sentenced to 25 years behind bars in june. Today in new yorks Lori Bordonaro is in ozone park queens with the video police would like you to see. Reporter neighbors tell us they could hear the victim screaming during this latest attack. It happened here on the sidewalk on 77th street and it was caught on this buildings video camera. Look at the video, you can see that man one of the men throwing a rock at 32yearold victim. Two other men join in and knock the victim to the ground. All three punched and kicked the victim in the head and body before taking his wallet and cell phone. That attack happened on sunday again here on 77th street. A day before the same three men are believed to be responsible glenmore avenue and 76th street. The men came up behind a 25yearold man, knocked him to the ground and beat him as well. They also took his cell and wallet. Neighbors tell us that the attacks are frightening. We are scared. My wife, a lot of people are scared. For a long time Nothing Happened here. Both victims were taken to the hospital. The first victim in critical condition. Right now the search is on for a gunman in brooklyn after a woman was grazed by a bullet as she was waiting for a bus. Happened at the intersection of mermaid avenue and west 33rd street in coney island. Witnesses told news 4 the woman was in line on the sidewalk when shots rang out. They say she didnt appear to be the intended target, that other people were in the street and shooting at each other. The woman was rushed to the stable condition. Right now a vicious pit bull attack in new jersey. This whole thing caught on camera. This was caught on camera the owner says her pit bull tobey went after a pomeranian, gripped the smaller dog by the throat. This attack happened a week ago. A Police Officer heard the screams and tried to wrestle the pit bull down. Horrible. To be walking along and something come along and put your dogs head in its mouth. She was screaming hes killing my dog. Eventually the officer subdued the dog which Authorities Say has attacked before. The pit bull is now with his previous owners. The smaller dog is doing okay. The director of the fbi hinted that the bureau paid more than 1 million to break into that locked iphone used by one of the San Bernardino attackers. Out more than 1 million. The feds paid a third party to hack into a phone used by sayed farooq, who along with his wife killed 14 people in december in the San Bernardino attacks before they died in a police shootout. Happening today in connecticut, the department of Motor Vehicles will be getting help to fix its computer registration system. The dmv demanding more resources from the 3m company. 3m says it will send more computer experts in today. The dmv says it will dissolve its contract with 3m but theyre still on the hook to fix the current system. On long island local leaders stepped in to end a bitter battle between neighbor s s and its about a plane parked in a driveway. Neighbors complaining a single engine cessna plane sitting in a driveway was not safe. Hempstead town Officials Say he ignored 17 summonses to remove it so they took matters into their own hands. Yesterday while he was out of town, workers spent the day taking down the plane piece by piece while the owner was out of town. You cant go down the street and take off. Whats the point . The freeway Authority Begins cashless tolls tomorrow for the span between westchester and rockland counties. For those without ezpass, cameras will read your license this will keep traffic flowing smoothly across the hudson river. Something may be missing from your next taxi ride. The tlc is giving drivers the option to remove the partition between the front and backseats. The tlc says it helps drivers make better tips. Those partitions mandated back in 1994 for safety. The tlc says theyre no longer needed. However drivers who do take down the partition will need to install a security camera. This will be such a change. A lot of people used to driving in ubers now where they dont have that partition. And they leave the partition open in the middle any way.
