We think about it mostly, like, you know, if you can exercise those muscles, that you should be fine, but actually bad posture is kind of keeping you in certain positions for a long time and putting a lot of strain on certain mels. So the way i think about it, i see a lot of people, for example, who have headaches and upper back pain. Now, this is related to reading, for example, well give you as an example. Your head is a 25pound weight its heavy. Yeah, its sitting on your should tokers, so if you keep your head straight, its easier to balance. But if youre always in this which we all are going like this. Yeah, exactly. [laughter] even sitting here. Its the worst thing. The computer might be also like this. [laughter] im sitting at the desk, and i do it. Actually, the problem with that is if you have 25 pounds kind of pulling this way, right . Normally, if it was a ball, it would just fall down. But these muscles at the back of your neck and the back of your shoulders are actually pulling your head back, so they get a lot of strain. And even many your chair when youre not sitting up straight, you know, if you think about how high your seat should be or where your monitor should be, these things kind of vary quite a bit, and they can put a lot of strain on these different muscles. Its like that picture of the evolutionary chart that shows us coming upright and now were going back down. Exactly. You got that. I was just going to add the muscle imbalances, once you start to get into these improper postures, it just goes into a downward spiral. And thats what weve been chatting about, a new trend in hair washing, some experts say without shampoo, but others say it could pose a health risk, so what do you do . Everybody needs shampoo, its just the timing that varies person to person. Some people need to shampoo every day, some people can wait a week, maybe even longer, it depends. Depends on what . On their hair time, for example. If you have finer hair, you may want to shampoo more often because all these oils that are in your scalp can kind of accumulate. So if you have fine hair, itll start to look like this happens to me, it looks like its sticking to my head, right . My hair. Yeah. But if you have more volumized hair, you might not have to worry as much. If youre exercising all the time, you might have a lot more sweat, right . If youre exposed to a lot of dirt or dust, maybe depending on your job or the conditions youre working in, then you can also shampoo more often because you dont want those things to be in your hair. And especially if theres any bacteria or fungus associated all of that stuff out. There does seem to be an awareness probably shampoo, shower more than we need to. How much of us are doing something we need to shower twice a day. Exactly. If you do this too much, youre drying out your hair, taking out all those oils. Elsewhere across the northeast, colder temperatures up towards the Capital District and even towards boston, but down towards our south, like in philly, we have readings in the 50s. Its 53 in d. C. Right now. We do have some mild air to our south that is slowly going to creep northward, so we may see temperatures actually rise a little bit over the next couple of hours.
