It was tilting from side to side. Furniture was going everywhere, people thank goodness, only four people with minor injuries, its a miracle. The ship came back last night. Now, lets hit the video thats all over social media, people experiencing the storm. Took out their cameras and started rolling during 30foot waves and 100mileperhour winds. Look at this stuff. I am still surprised that Royal Caribbean thus far has only refunded the trip and offered a coupon. Offered a 50 president off coupon 50 off coupon for the next trip. The captain basically says get to your rooms right now and dont come out until i tell you to. Ive got some questions for him. Didnt you take a look at the radar . Dont you have a meteorologist onboard you can consult . You sound like a monday morning quarterback. Maybe he didnt know it was going to be that big. Rosanna, it might have been his job and, quite frankly, im not the only one raising andersons performance. I mean, Royal Caribbean, they dont want a lawsuit. Hey, everythings fine, heres a cue importance lets move along. You look like a nice guy, i hope you did your job, i hope you met all the specifications, all the requirements about what youre supposed to do when you look at a weather report. By the way, we talked to some of the people who were onboard this cruise ship, and they said it was they were scared out of their minds. This is leeann, shes a medical secretary. They tell us that we should get back to our cabins and stay there until they tell us otherwise. So, of course, we are rushing up the stairs to get to our room, and were like Holding Onto Things to get to the room, because the ship was actually, you know, turning, going 35, 40degree angles as were trying to get to our room. Oh, my goodness. When we opened the door, everything we received a champagne basket with food and cheeses and all that good stuff, everything was all over the everything in the bathroom was on the floor, toiletries, and the first thing that comes to mind is, im going to die, this is it. Oh, man. Thats maria from the bronx, she was a bookkeeper celebrating her jose. Believe it or not, they said they would go back on another cruise, so they are going to take up Royal Caribbean on jose said that. I know. And shes like bond oring, okay, whats up with the captain . What is up with thatsome. Everybody kind of knew four days out there was going to be a storm, but maybe he didnt know how big that storm was. And was it his job to know that, okay . By the way, the weather was not so great onboard that ship. The only time they saw sun was when they were in the eye of the storm. Leeann, one of our guests, said she was hopping in the hot tub at that point. That was the only time they had sun. Leeann, i think, knows how to she has a positive attitude. She also thought at one point maybe were going to die here, she think it is captain did a great job. This is jacob. He took a lot of the video youre watching. Had known there was supposed to be a small storm system. Ive been on many other cruise ships before where we would go through small storm systems. It happened out of nowhere really, it just grew. It was a freak monster Hurricane Storm situation. 180 mileanhour winds. Thats not normal, all right . 30degree tilt, thats not normal. A United States senator is calling for a federal investigation. Senator bill nelson of florida wants the National Transportation safety board involved here, the he thinks this could have been anticipated and avoided. I feel the same way, i really do. You hear that . But theyre all safe and sound, theyre back home. Some people actually stayed onboard even though the boat docked last night in new jersey. Because they didnt have a room to go to. That was dave stewart. Were going to talk about him next. Anyway, theyre back here. Were going to keep an eye on how this whole thing progresses with Royal Caribbean. Okay. We may just lose interest and move on. [laughter] speaking of which, lets talk about were mentioned on page six today in the new york post. Oh, boy, who nose whats next. The your rivet nicks your rhythmics, annie lennox and dave stewart. Great music. Interesting music, different. Theres annie. Dave was always the mysterious guy playing with the computer and the keyboard and looking at her. Right. Obviously brought a a lot more to the table. He wrote this memoir, sweet dreams, in the it he talks about some of the artists he collaborated with like mick jagger and his sex, drugs and rock and roll. But yesterday during the interview, it got a little listen to this. I died on the operating table. I flatlined in about 1979, and somebody else slipped into my body which is called a walkin, all right . Thats the name of when that happens. And from then on ive been somebody else. I am completely not me. This is im speaking on behalf of dave, but i am somebody else who has written hundreds and thousands of songs finish. What happened to you in 1979 . I was on the so anyway, the interview went on from there. We then start to question him about this walkin and who he is. Because, you know, hes now hes not dave stewart anymore. Do we have end of this interview . We dont. So at the end of the interview, i think we both say thank you, dave stewart x he says basically to us, ill tell him. Yeah. It was [laughter] kind of wild. So its not dave stewart. Well or is it . I dont know. Nice guy. Whats the name of his book again . Sweet dreams. Good for him. Yeah. And thanks to emily smith of page six, thank you for including us today. And it looks like a guy named ian moore, dont forget him. Thank you. Appreciate it. All right, lets talk about the weather, because it is cold out there. You know what else i just saw . What . On time hop on twitter . Six years ago was when we had that snowball fight. Remember that . We had a snowball fight onset . Oh, youre kidding me. Ill retweet it. Along with it . Its in the ao to l page. It was a little clip that we had from there. Saw it on twitter. Check it out. Okay. Six years ago, amazing. I pegged somebody in the head. Actually, i think greg was probably going for you, rosanna. I think i got it by mistake. We had a little winter indeed. We have the colder temperatures its here today with a few snow showers that already passed through, but there also could be more later on as well, and then theres going to be a blast of arctic air coming this way over the weekend mainly with record low temperatures coming to us as well. Right now the record low temp for the 14th of february, valentines, is 2 degrees, and it looks like we may go just below that. Wind chill factors are going to be way below that, were talking about between 1520 below zero by sunday morning. Some very chilly stuff is just around the corner. Not just yet, but its still pretty cold. 23, central park, 24 in islip wells bridgeport, 24 in montauk, 20 degrees in sussex with a partly cloudy sky here. Wind chill factor, its down to 11 degrees for you out at central park, same thing in newark and feels like 12 in bridgeport, 9 degrees only in islip. A good amount of wind with cold temps like this, you want to were not quite in the advisory or warning range, but were getting there, and theres more cold air to come. The first of the snow showers today have moved on. A few more flakes popping up here and there. Theres just enough moisture to squeeze out a few more quick snow showers possibly later on this afternoon. I dont think theres anything heavy coming to us and certainly nothing that accumulates appreciably. But anyhow, there is another cold front just pulling in more of that cold air thats over canada this way, and thats going to drop your temperatures down, another shot comes through here tonight. That could give us, again, a few more snow showers out there. Shouldnt be a big deal. And then another shot of cold air comes through over the weekend, and that going from saturday into sunday is going to really knock your temperatures down. In fact, your temps will be falling throughout the day on saturday as that next cold front goes by. So more and more of that arctic air arriving here in the tristate. Were heading up to 27 degrees by midday, high temp its breezy at the same time. High of 27 for you tomorrow, high of 20 on saturday, and thats actually happening early on in the day. Your temps are actually first of falling throughout the day because your colder air is arriving during the day on saturday. High temp on sunday, 17 degrees, that would tie the low High Temperature for the day, and if we hit 1 for the low that morning, that would be a new record low. Very chilly stuff through this weekend, but at least its warming up next week. A little snow chance late monday tuesday. Rosanna and greg, over to you. Thanks a lot. So the whole world was talking about beyonces outfit the other night during the super bowl halftime show. She was dressed in the bullets. I thought it was very, very introaging. Some, rosanna, some people were offended. Some people were offended. They, you know, was it an homage to Michael Jackson or a black panther salute . We dont know. You know what . We might get closer to an well, the person who helps beyonce pick her clothes and create a look right. That captures the worlds attention is her personal stylist. His name is ty hunter, and hes got a pretty cool gadget he just invented. Yeah. Ty hunter, welcome to good day new york. Hey, im happy to be here. So what do you do for beyonce . Im her stylist. Right now im on a little break because im working on all of my ventures, but im still working with her. How did you meet her . It started with destinys child with tina, who i love her mom. Yeah. I was doing window dressing, and thats how it happened. You were taking care of the mannequins. Yeah. Started working with destinys child, and thats how it happened. All right. Weve got to talk about the super bowl. Did you have any kind of control or say over the outfit . No, but i loved the whole Michael Jackson look. Whether her other stylist, marnie, did the styling, and i loved it. Is that ammunition shes wearing . Im not sure. Check out Michael Jackson, its the same thing. So its crazy how now its like a big story theyre saying its more of an homage to the black panthers. Okay. I watched it. I didnt take any antianything mefnlgt whoa, there she is. Good for her. I thought she outclassed chris martin. Im out of it. I loved the whole show. Tell us, when you work with beyonce, and i know you didnt work her on sunday,do you come up with the idea, the concept . She has in her mind what she wants, and weve got to bring it to live, make everything work. In the mine time, your spare time, you came out with a pretty cool invention. Yes. Rosanna, what have we got here . I have already absconded one if youre a selfie taker, like myself, you know that sometimes if youre in certain lights, you cant take a selfie. With this, youve got the light. Three light settings. Because the flash cube, if its a flash cube, is on the other side. Its conducive the taking pictures of others, but if youre in a dark place and want to take a selfie, this provides illumination. And also if youre in bed and someone facetimes you, you dont have to get up and turn the lights on. Ty, this is genius. Thank you. Why hasnt somebody thought of this early . Its on the market. Its three light settings and a protective case as well. Where were you when you got the brainstorm . I think i was in miami. Okay, doing what . I was at an event, and we were talking, you know, my partner, and thats kind of how everything started happening. Like it was just like daylight. The sun doesnt always shine, so light is important for everybody. Lights and mirrors. Sometimes you can find the perfect lighting and not have to worry about using a filter. How can you find these and how much are they . Right now you have to download an app, star shop. Download an app to get a discount. 20 , staff shop. Its star shop. Star shop, yeah. And then how much does this case cost . 79. 99. 79. 99, but potentially a 20 discount. Yes. Three light settings and a protective case. Now, how long does the light last . Ive noticed that, seriously, like, you dont have to charge it maybe like once a month seriously. So do you have to charge it separately . Yes. Its a separate charger. It doesnt drain your phone. Well, we hope you become, you know, rich and even more famous. I would love that. [laughter] whats the factory wheres the factory . Dont worry about that. , no im just curious. Is it in your basement or overseas . And also youre doing emojis. Yeah, you can go to any app store i see that . Last year johnny nunez, photographer, came up with an emoji. He came and said i want you to be my emoji guy, and thats kind of how the emojis took off. Its you crying over here. Its free. A lot of people use it. I was at Lorraine Schwartz the other day, and blake lively, they use my blakeively, hateened to h . Shes out there. Shes working. I didnt forget about you, by the way. Whats this . Free stuff for us . 79. 99 . I think we can take it. With a 20 percent, with the 20 percent off, youre okay. Prolific selfie taker, Everybody Knows that. Thank you very much, ty. This is great. So when are you going to work with beyonce again . Soon. Weve got two projects coming up. Now, is she a diva . No, shes not. Shes the most humble, sweet person. Years. Yeah, youre right, if she were a diva, she would have fired you 15 years ago. And you might have walkerred walkerred walked too longtime employee. Thats the two of you . Thats my sister. Im from austin, texas, but i move to houston, texas, and thats how i met the lovely miss tier. That i live in new york now, and i watch you guys all the time. Thank you, ty. Thank you for this. Hes basically like a mad genius of music. Hes a walking encyclopedia of the history of rock and roll, rhythm and blows, jazz, but rhythm and blues, jazz, but he doesnt know hes trying to stay relevant. Desperate to stay relevant. Clinging on. Doing well when we meet it, goes under, julies going to to be out on the street. Sounds like a lot of drama. I love the 70s patina. Plus, you know, sex, drugs and rock and roll. Im talking to ann i drew dice clay who plays buck rogers. Of the day he was like the wolfman jack. Very powerful radio guy with a big syndication, and hes threatening to boycott our label, not play our records, which would sink us, and im begging him to not do that. Lets check it out.
