Theyre creating a commission to look at homelessness and want to create a system that has comprehensive services. These services would include drug treatment, health care, and employment opportunities. They plan on using a lot of current resources like the Salvation Army and funding from federal and state grants and private donors. Currently 5. 45 millions was used in 2016 to help homeless in volusia and flagler counties. This includes federal, state, and private funds. Plus another 2. 3 used by Salvation Army to end veteran homelessness. We believe gnat if were going to be successful, funds, our plan has to be collaborative, comprehensive in nature. It was his gun that critically winded a 13 year old boy sunday afternoon. A neighbor told us he heard the gun shots. I think its pretty scary because i got a six year old son and at the time he was in the back yard playing and, uh, i heard shots. Investigators say the boy was in the Home Visiting relatives. Overnight fox 35 learned he was in the house with two 18 year olds whether one of those older kids found the gun in the bedroom and started playing with it. The gun went off. The kid got shot in the neck, apparently they were just playing with guns. It was sad news for people who know the family.
