S. There has been a case discovered that was sexually transmitted. What are the cdcs new guidelines . Yeah, so this is the third case in history that they think was transmittesexually so what theyre saying is pregnant women should abstain from sex or use a condom during their entitire pregnancy if their male partner has traveled to an area where zika is transmitted. Within a week you cant find it in the blood but for at least two weeks maybe longer, they can find it in the semen. Its changed, the discussion as to how its spread. What do we know about how its spread . Clearly the primary way is by mosquitoes. And so thats where the big focus is, but now sexual transmission was shown and from the blood supplies so dont donate blood if f youve been there for a a good 28ays and found it in saliva but havent shown spread that way.
