Breaking news out of oregon tonight, as the armed protests over federal land come to and end. Stephanie ammon bundy and a group of protestors have been occupying the federal wildlife refuge in burns oregon since january second. They took over the building to protest the arrest of two ranchers who were arrested for setting brush fires on federal land. Police arrested bundy during a traffic stop along with eight of his followers. Shots were fired after the stop. One of the protestors was killed. Police have not said who shot first. Both are facing two counts of felony murder. Police say the two men intentionally started a house fire that killed Nathan Messer and seth anderson, both from ottumwa, died of smoke inhilation. Police reopened the case this month after learning new information. Originially the cause of the fire was undetermined, but now Officials Say they can bring the families closure.
