Yesterday the ntsb said it has a locomotives event recorder which will supply some answers as to the trains speed and what the engineer saw and did approaching the collision. As of now we have recovered the event data recorder, the forward facing video and the end ward facing video from the locomotive to send to our laboratory in washington, d. C. At the time this large yellow track maintenance machine sometimes called a rail vac or vac train was in place on a closed track. Sometimes backhoes assist the vac trains crew.
