A young boy is expected to recover after falling out of a second story window of a north philadelphia home, it happened this morning and police say it appears to have been an accident. Chad pradelli is looking into the story on West Huntington street. Reporter yes the boy fell out of the window at 11 00 this morning, here is what police tell me happened. The boy was just inside of that second floor window you see there on the far right row home, he was on a chair trying to get a cell phone off the refrigerator, he fell off the chair and out the window. After the boy tumbled on to the concrete pavement below randall heard commotion as he worked at the body shop across the street he was crying maybe for his mother but he was favoring his knees and rubbing the back of his head, like he may have hit the concrete with his head. Investigators say the boy and another girl were being baby sat by the girls grandmother the grandmother said the boy had a tendency to take out the screens of windows. And everybody is looking at the second floor window and there was an older hispanic woman there and they were telling her your kid fell out the window. The boy superred a broken arm and bumps and browses but is expected to be okay. We expect to get 61 bran new wave taxi cabs on the streets of philadelphia by the end of this year. Wave is short for Wheelchair Accessible vehicle, tony tried this one rolled up the back and strapped in and once secured. I feel like im sitting in a chair in the vehicle. You dont feel vulnerable . No i feel safe. Accessiblity advocated went to court in 2007 to force it here. My daughter has a heart condition and they had put her in an ambulance and told me they couldnt take me in my power chair that was the most terrifying experience as i mom. This new dodge van modified by american mobility transportation cost 29,000, they had to submit its cab to crash testing before getting permission to operate as a philadelphia taxi.
