Of the loop. Even of that train derailed and collided with train 51 on the number three loop. The total of three six car st derailed and people injured and possibly trapped. What we found when we arrived on location, four people were in fact injured and twoie leg injwo suffered head injuries three people were treated and released. The fourth the driver of the striking train is reported in Critical Condition. And it was temporarily halted this afternoon when the ntsb said it was sending investigators to the site. How this collision occurred is the focus of the now federal safety probe. That septa uses an automatic system to remain safe separation of trains. Its a signal system so that the train moves under signal authority and the signal keeps the trains separated. There is a manual override from our center if the need arises. But it should still keep the trains apart. This occurred on a sharp curve behind the terminal used to allow the trains tourn around and reenter service. Normally there are no passengers on board the train. Two were operators, and two were civilians, its not clear that they were on board of the train. And the thought is they may have overslept and missed the last station. Live newspaperer darby, john rawlins, channel 6 action news. Thank you.
