Were following developing news from boston where a taxi crashed into a crowd of people near the airport today. Within the last hour investigators announce it appears to have been an accident. Massachusetts state police say the driver seems to have hit the gas pedal instead of the brake. The taxi hit 10 people in a waiting area. They are all being treated for injuries. Some of them are serious. The car came to a rest against the building and also caused damage to a second structure. Police have been talking to the 56yearold driver. Action news will bring you any updates to this story as they continue to come in. A fire at a house in mayfair quickly turned into a drug investigation this afternoon. Crews arrived on long shore avenue and then immediately called for police. The scene is unfolding in a rather quiet neighborhood. Fortunately no one was injured. The neighborhood did not have to be evacuated in the wake of this fire. No one was in the house when first res though police tell me they have the name of at least one person of interest. Just before 11 30 this morning, firefighters were summoned to long shore avenue in mayfair. That was a fire in the basement of one of the row houses. When they put it out it was declared a crime scene. What authorities found was evidence this property was being used to grow synthetic marijuana with the use of acetone. Police got search warrants but word was already spreading quickly through this quiet neat and clean neighborhood. Looks as though the air conditioner was on fire and it was and when they pushed it in, then one of the guys came out and said something was on fire in the basement. It was like pate thinner or as tone on a pile of stuff so it seems as though theyre investigating a drug situation no undercover detectives emerged with multiple bags of evidence clearly visible. The lieutenant in charge of this confirmed exactly what they have discovered here which resulted in the fire. Fire board responded to a fire which appeared to be a weedy type substance on the floor in the basement which was soaked with acetone and they believe that as a result spontaneous combustion and it caught on fire. The man charged in that deadly road rage shooting in Chester County is being held without bail. 28yearold david desper turned himself in to police early yesterday. Investigators say he shot 18yearold Bianca Roberson last week as both of them were trying to merge into the same lane on route 100 in west goshen. The tooken was found dead in her crashed vehicle. Desper is now charged with first degree murder. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for july 13. Three armed suspects targeted a mcdonalds in West Philadelphia robbing it early this morning. Police were called out to the restaurant at the intersection of 56th and vine around 4 30 a. M. The suspects waved guns and demanded money from the employees there. Two workers received some minor injuries but its not clear exactly what happened to them. The suspects did get away with some cash. Some type of fight led to a shooting in the feltonville section of philadelphia. The victim was shot once in the leg around 1 oclock this morning. Police found him along the 4700 block of rising sun avenue and rushed him to temple hospital in critical condition. So far, though, no one has been arrested. All right. Theyve dropped into the 50s so thats a pretty dry air mass although the dewpoints will be rising as we head through the overnight hours and tomorrow. Attorneys office, mcfarland allegedly sent fake documents claiming the company made millions in revenue in 2016 to 2017 when hed only earned less than 60,000. A hot air balloon with 17 people on board crash landed next to a pond in orlando, florida. Part of the basket came to rest at the edge of the water.
