Were down to 49 degrees. 45 in allentown. 45 in reading. 47 in trenton. 47 in wilmington and the upper 40s as we head down toward the shore. The winds, however, which were very blustery late yesterday and last night are still a factor. These are sustained winds 20 Miles Per Hour in philadelphia, most of us in the teens right now. Another 20 Miles Per Hour reading in dover. So, a little bit on the breezy side again this morning and you want to be careful of debris in roadways. For the kids on the bus stop mainly clear and breezy. I could see us dipping down into the mid 40s in places that arent already there between 6 oclock and 8 oclock this morning. And as we roll through the day its going to wind up a little cooler this afternoon. 45 degrees by 9 00, 53 by 1 00 and your high today is going to be 57 degrees. That will probably hit around 3 30 or 4 oclock this afternoon. Fair amount of sunshine and staying on the blustery side. Pollen count is still in the medium high range today and staying in the high or medium high range through friday. So, allergy sufferers beware. We get warmer air later in the week. Thanks, car karen. Lets get to our breaking news story. Within the past few minutes the president of cyprus announced that the highjacking of an egyptair explain not terrorism. The plane took off from coastal egypt heading to cairo but planned on the mediterranean island of cyprus. The reports indicate hes a doctor and Egyptian National who claims to have explosives on him. The crew of the aircraft and four foreigners are still on board the plane sitting on the tarmac in cyprus. We know eight americans were on that flight so again the president of cyprus is saying this is not a terrorism incident. We will continue to follow this story and update it for you on the air and on 6abc. Com. Now to a developing story. A violent hit and run crash in a south jersey roadway left a man dead. The driver took off right after the victims body landed in a burger king parking lot. Action News ReporterKatherine Scott is tracking the search for the driver live at that scene in Pennsauken Camden county. Katherine. Reporter matt police have not identified the victim. We dont have a description of the vehicle but we do know that the police did recover the front bumper that fell off that striking vehicle here at the crash site last night. This happened around 11 30 last night and you can see the southbound lanes of route 130 by browning in pen salk can ken are opened. They will be closed for the Police Investigation. Police say the man was crossing route 130 a little south of browning road. He had made it out to the median when he was struck by a vehicle traveling south. The impact of the crash threw the man across the southbound lanes. He landed in a parking lot near a burger king and died. Police were on the scene for hours searching for evidence. Theyre checking nearby surveillance cameras for footage and they also recovered the front bumper from that striking vehicle but again, so far they havent released details about the vehicle or the victim but they are hoping to find more Surveillance Footage that can help in this investigation. They say it appears the driver lost control, spun out and wedged the vehicle underneath the side of that tractortrailer. This happened between academy road and cottman avenue just before midnight. Now, when Police Arrived on the scene, the driver had already taken off. The truck driver was not injured. Also new an uncooperative shooting victim is hampering a Police Investigation in north philadelphia. The gunfire erupted along the 1300 block of westemoreland street. Police say after being shot twice, the male victim ran a block to broad street to look for help. Detectives are having trouble finding the gunman and they say the victim, who is hospitalized, is refusing to answer questions. Parents and School Officials met face to face to talk about a hazing scandal happening at conestoga high school. They held a closed door meeting last night to talk about ways to prevent hazing. Earlier this month a report from the Chester CountyDistrict Attorney painted a picture of a hazing culture among members of the varsity football team. In october, three students were accused of violating a freshman with a broom handle. They were charged. The coach resigned and the rest of the staff was relieved of its duties. So, after a somewhat cool start with mid to upper 40s from allentown all the way down to cape may, and again those winds sustained winds anyway are up in the teens in most neighborhoods. 20 in a couple of spots and there could be a little gust higher than these numbers every now and then. So blustery as you head outside this morning and a bit cool. We also have some cloud cover on satellite but most of this is high and thin and i think once the sun gets over the horizon, largely this should evaporate and we should wind up with a fair amount of sunshine. Those winds are going to be a factor today, though. Last night we had some gusts up into the 40s as we roll through the day were probably looking more like gusts in the 25 to 30 range and in most cases maybe a 35 here or there. This one is going to be closed until june so youll have to use tanyard road to get around that.
