Currently, 61 in allentown, cool and comfortable in places like allentown reading bethlehem, trenton at 68, 70 in millville and 72 at this early hour in cape may. Dewpoints are running a lot lower this morning. Got a lot of 50s out there. A little stickier as we get into these 60degree readings down south. All Things Considered a pretty nice morning for a uny run a walk to the bus stop or just out to the car. 78 degrees by 10 00 by noon 84 and were going for a high of 89 if we can hold in the 80s today it will end our heat wave. Not as humid today but still pretty warm. Got to be careful of rip currents down the shore karen as were looking at that tropical issue with those heavy surf swells coming in. Ill check out the tropics and give you the rest of your seven day coming up. Tropics heating up. Vine street expressway reopened. Was closed overnight for construction and now we see westbound, eastbound moving okay but crews will return again tonight at 11 oclock and t the vine down in both directions. Weve got a couple of accidents and they are big ones. This is in perkiomen. Were hearing it brought down a pole. Thats why they shut do you know park avenue at pennypack road. You have emergency workers trying to deal with this. Stick to schwenksville yod as your alternate and Annie Mccormick has been live on the scene talking about this accident haddon avenue at newton avenue that involves downed wires an utility pole. Avoid that intersection and stick to mlk boulevard stemmed also the new jersey turnpike theyre doing some emergency road work here and theyve had to shut down the ramp northbound the offramp to 322 because of these big potholes. Stick to the off tramp exit one or exit three instead of exit two here on the new jersey turnpike matt. Thank you karen. Back to that camden accident. It is our breaking news story. It was a wild crash launching a vehicle into two homes leaving several parked cars damaged, wires are down at the scene, debris he is everywhere. Action news Annie Mccormick is live along haddon avenue where it looks like a bomb went off, annie. Reporter matt youre right its a mangled mess out here. I want to take yout vehicle behind me. You can actually see that big piece of red metal it looks like a door. Thats actually the hood of the vehicle, the chrysler 300 and in front of the vehicle you can see that big piece of black, it looks like plastic, thats actually the engine. You can just get an idea how violent this crash was. Take a look at this video. Were told that the driver was taken to their hospital by medics in critical condition. They actually had to extricate the driver from the vehicle because the person behind the wheel was trapped. Now, it appear tar was traveling west down haddon when this all happened around 2 00 a. M. Thats when they say the chrysler 300 was traveling at a high rate of speed down haddon, snapped a utility pole then violently flipped around. Now theres not only debris from the inside of the vehicle and parts of the car but also the car batterynd sprayed on a number of parked vehicles at the intersection here of haddon and newton. Now when the car flipped it also knocked down at least two porches of homes and hit several vehicles that were parked. Now, we talked to a witness who tells us some information that is conflicting from some of the stuff were hearing from police. Take a listen. I seen the guy flying down the street in the burgundy car but what drew my attention to it was the loud sound of him hitting the fourth car in line down there and it ended up flying into the house right there and ended up sitting here. I guess the guy wasnt wearing a seat belt or anything cause he ended up laying out here on the sidewalk. Reporter now, police tell us that there was only one person in this vehicle at the time of the crash and were getting reports that someone was extricated so were not sure if those conflicting descriptions of the scene that one person was laying on the road way. It appears to be a one person crash. You can see investigators, Camden County police along with crime scene unit now taking a look around here. This is haddon and newton. Storm tracker6 live double scan and as we take a look outside, we are looking at clear skies overhead and the promise of plenty of sunshine and that is clear skies just beyond the Commodore Barry bridge. But matt is right, theres a lot going on so lets get to it. 61 degrees in allentown as you step outside cool and comfortable in the northern suburbs, a lot of 60s there. Were at 73 in philadelphia and 72 down in cape may. Its not nearly as humid as it was yesterday. The exception might be all the way down south at the shore where some spots are still a little bit sticky. A lack of a lot of cloud cover. If youre on the highways and by ways this morning and through the day youll need the shades. Its also going to be warm but not as hot as yesterday and not nearly as humid so a really nice day in the lehigh valley. Lots of sun, less humid, a high of 85. Down the shore we do have those issues. Going to be a Beautiful Day with a high of just 81 and lots of sun but were still looking at heavy surf and rip currents along the shore today because of hurricane gaston out to sea and well also be looking at a Tropical Storm very like allot closer to us as we go through the next couple of days. Mostly sunny and less humid in philadelphia, a high of 89 degrees. Winds out of the east at six to 12 miles per hour. And then overnight tonight mainly clear and fairly comfortable with a low of 70 degrees. Its going to start to get a little bit more humid through the day tomorrow. On to the tropics we go. Theres gaston not an issue other than the returns its forcing. Tropical depression number eight and tropical depression number nine still have yet to form into Tropical Storms but it looks like both could later today. As for the storm closest to us it looks as though the most likely track would take it out to sea before it makes landfall in cape hatteras. Tuesday, wednesday and thursday its going past our coastline. This would force heavy surf straight through the end of the work week in through the jersey and Delaware Coast lines, okay, so two storms out there really affecting us. Then theres this third storm. This one may also be a Tropical Storm later and the most likely track still has this one curving around coming across the northern half of florida. This means that if you have vacation plans anywhere from about orlando up to southern georgia and coastal south side and North Carolina you do wander to keep your eyes on this one. This also looks like its going to shoot off the coast well away from us but may also inhibit or enhance a little issue with the rip currents and what have you. Just a to remind you if you get caught in one of these rip currents all you got do is swim parallel to the beach and youll get out of it. Your exclusive accuweather 7day 89. Tomorrow a bit more humid 91 with a thunderstorm possible at night. While theres a possibilities of a shower on thursday morning it looks like by thursday afternoon were returning to some sun and it winds up getting more comfortable and boy it just stays nice all the way through the holiday weekends.
