Unusually quiet in south philadelphia this year. Organizers of the parade say the Political Climate makes it a no go. Well explain. Maybe we can shed some layers today. I think the last of this probably gets through after the end of the rush hour. Temperatures not as bad this morning as they were yesterday. Were already at 44 degrees in philadelphia. Yesterday we were well down into the 30s t39 degrees in allentown, 43 in cape may and winds not really much of a factor yet either. Just a light breeze so far. Maybe a little bit windier after the sunrise. 42 degrees by 7 oclock and by noon, 49. Those sprinkles and showers done fairly early. Clouds hang with us through midday. Then well start to see some sun reemerge the rest of the afternoon and were going to get milder with a high of 59 degrees at five block down to 54 by 7 oclock. You can also get on the schuylkill expressway at packer avenue but shut down again between passyunk and broad street. The other problems out there. Fear was a big factor but they say it was mostly a precautionary measure. Hundreds take part every year wearing elaborate headdresses and colorful masks. New this morning, Atlantic City Police Department is chasing this suspect who you see in these surveillance pictures. They say he stabbed a Convenience Store clerk on sunday at a store in the 1400 block of atlantic avenue. It happened after the clerk tried to fight him off. They think the same man robbed a store in the 1300 block of pacific avenue on friday. If you take a look at these pictures and think you know that person, contact police. And the week got off to a terrible start for a philadelphia jeweler. Robbers staged an elaborate heist and made off with more than a Million Dollars in stolen jewels. It happened early monday morning at the kim thanh Jewelry Store on whitaker avenue in lawncrest. Police say the suspects cut the wires to disable phones internet and Security Systems and then broke in through the roof of a neighboring store. They were then able to smash through the wall to get into the Jewelry Store and police say this same store was just burglarized two months ago. Was facing sideways across the roadway. Looks like they do have a tow truck on the scene and you see it kind of looks like its smashed into that fence there on the schuylkill eastbound in south philadelphia this accident happened with that truck at broad street right now. Someone is not getting their bread in time. You can see the tow truck is on the scene trying to deal with this but in the meantime theyve had to shut down the schuylkill expressway eastbound while they get ready to tow away that vehicle between passyunk and broad street. So, if youre in this area, you could stick to oregon avenue instead. You can use the you can use the platt bridge to get to the schuylkill. You can get on at packer avenue but its shut down between passyunk and broad street with that big accident involving that truck. It took them hours to get the fires under control in Overland Park yesterday. The fire started in a multimillion dollar apartment complex under construction and grew to eight alarms. Two Lancaster County children severely burned after drinking what they thought was apple juice have been released from the hospital.
