Reporter rick, it depend on where you are, septa says using leased equipment shortened wait times and you can see right now in ardmore it is pretty quiet but this morning during rush hour there were still some problems, overcrowding and delays across the system. Some stations were once again bypassed by pack trains. Still problems on the Regional Rails. With amtrak trains, holding to bryn mawr this morning one of the pieces of equipment septa has on loan. Today is first day of the new interim schedule which comes after septa announced plans to lease equipment from amtrak, new jersey transit, and maryland area Regional Commuter train services. I would hope that would help cut down the overcrowding, and maybe make it so they are not so delayed. This is just hoping that it comes on time. Reporter you can see leased vehicles along Paoli Thorndale and trenton lines including here in ardmore. Septa lost a third of the Regional Rail fleet after serious crack where is found in the suspension systems. That translated in to 13,000 fewer seats. Officials a 18 additional cars and three locomotives hit the track is today to ease overcrowding and delays. The leased equipment means 1700 more seats then last week but that still leaves a significant seat shortage. The hope at least this week is better than last week. Last week, not too good. I dont know if it will be significant. I think it will help, of course, more trains, less crowded. They were very crowded. Reporter over in glenside todays new schedule meant digsal service between glenside and center city. Commuter says leaving early helps as does staying flexible because there is no overnight fix to this. It will be a long hall. We dealt with this before with strikes but it has always been week, maybe two weeks, you know, at the nose, but it is going to be a couple months. Reporter on that note septa is still urging ride tours use the broad street line. Use the market frankford line. About 150 protesters rallied at city hall, peaceful protest took to the streets, the demonstration was planned by, a group called, showing up for racial justice. And marchers wanted to show that a large number of white americans are trouble by the recent shootings of black men. We think this is a racist system that where the police are targeting people of color. We want to see the city give a comprehensive response to how they will address Police Brutality in this city. They graduated from the peco excel on training and Employment Program and this was the special ceremony congratulating the graduates.
