Someone saw a person acting suspiciously on a beach there. They called police, a deputy arrived, ran the plates and determined it was matthew. And the police chief in the press Conference Today made an unusual request. He made a plea to realtors, asking them to check the homes they have listed on their market. Now they want he wants them to essentially go through those homes, to search for anything that may be suspicious, anything unusual, and that may be connected to this case. Ultimately, though, he says his focus is still on finding Hannah Graham. Deputies say he was here and had been here for at least a couple of days. But a fisherman here on this beach had no idea. Just down the beach, there was a man who was fishing. He said he threw a fish back in and matthew came running over and asked why he would do that. He caught another one and matthew asked if he could have it. He gave it to him. He said matthew also asked he give him a cooler. The man said he didnt have that. Matthew then took off and said he came back a short time later followed by sheriffs deputies. A deputy tells me it appears that matthew had bought things along the way and had been here on the beach for at least a couple days. In texas, ryan corzgard, back to you. Intelligence agencies say they found no evidence of a potential plot by american isis members to strike on u. S. Soil. In fact, this morning iraqs new Prime Minister said several isis members had been captured in his country and they disclosed a plot against the metro in paris and a Transit System in the u. S. But both the fbi and the cia say they have no evidence of the plot. In fact, an iraqi official later told nbc news the threat is only to paris subway system. But intelligence agencies say they are double checking to see if they missed anything. But right now as of now, there is no credible threat to the United States. Here in our area, metro says it is aware of the reported threat and it says the Transit Agency is always vigilant when it comes to keeping writers safe. Subway system certainly got metros attention and riders attention today. But metro stressing to us, there is no specific threat. And its being called the school fight club. Whats being done to stop the eruption of violence on a local campus. Also, police shot and killed a troubled teen. Now his family has just learned the officer that pulled the trigger is not going to be held accountable. Well explain why. In Fairfax County we had to cut a lot of waste. We consolidated offices. An emotional eric holder thanked president obama as he announced plans today to step down. That was about an hour ago. The president praised holder for his commitment to equal justice, also saying holder will remain until his successor is confirmed. Holder has deep roots in washington, having serve the as a judge of a judge of a d. C. Superior court and attorney. Joining us with more is nbc News White House correspondent Kristen Welker. Reporter good evening. It was an emotional announcement earlier today. Really essentialed the relationship between the attorney general and president obama. They have a close personal relationship, but also a close working relationship. The attorney general is one of president obamas top advisers. We are told that the attorney general informed president obama that he was leaving around labor day. Not a big surprise, because the attorney general had been signalling hes ready to leave. Hes, of course, approaching six years. If he stays through december, he will be the secondlongest serving attorney general in history. President obama has not determined who his replacement will be yet. We are told. Hes in the process of going through a list of potential people. And some of the names being floated around include cathy rumler. She was, of course, the white house counsel. Also don virtue i willy, solicitor general, argued for the Health Care Law in the supreme court. He was criticized at the time for not doing a good job of arguing that case. But, of course, the Health Care Law was upheld. Right now hes touted as a front runner. Also Deval Patrick on the list of replacement. The white house wont give an indication who they are thinking. But you imagine president obama is feeling some pressure to get someone in place, particularly with the mid terms coming up and the threat that democrats could lose the senate to republicans. Of course, attorney general holder has had a contentious relationship to some extent with congress over fast and furious. Also over his he announced he wanted to try the 9 11 suspects in new york. He reversed course on that, but lot a got of pushback in congress. So hes sort of going out on a high note, though. Because he just led this investigation into what happened in ferguson, and that really rallied a lot of people, a lot of bipartisan support around him. So certainly a very big announcement here out of the white house today. The attorney general himself signaling hes going to stay on the job until the president chooses his replacement. In a new poll, they chose mark warners lead may be narrowing. Warner is a democrat. And Quinnipiac University shows he still leads ed gillespie 4839 . Libtarian candidate at 6 . That ninepoint difference in this poll is the closest warner and gillespie have been this election cycle. In fact, other recent surveys have shown warner with double digit leads. To the weather, doug is here. And doug, are things only going to get better from here on out . They cant get much worse. Exactly right. What a day we have had out there, accidents on the roads because of all of the rain. And we didnt see a ton of rain. We saw about a half inch in some locations, some places a little more. And we continue to see drizzle at this hour. We will continue to see that, i think, through the rest of the evening. But then skies are going to open up and i dont mean with rain. I mean with plenty of sunshine. And thats coming the next couple days. Right now we are dealing with that drizzle and areas of plenty of cloud cover.
