It caused trouble for pedestrians and drivers, as you know and in some places flooded streets and knocked out power. At the university of maryland, people were told to take cover when the storms picked up. These photographs taken inside the Journalism School where people gathered in hallways to avoid the windows. Lets begin with doug in the storm center. The best part is its all moving out of the region and any severe storm is moving out of here to the northeast. Lets look at the radar where these storms are and currently move across our area. You can see the storms moving up towards the north. Reds and oranges is the heavy rain that came through earlier today. How much rain did we see here . So far, 1. 33 inches in washington and more than three quarters of an inch in quantico. As the rain moves out we will just see shower activity in the metro area and towards waldorf and bowie. You will see the rain continuing as it moves to the east.
