Five other states including california today, clinton the wants her voters to turn out. Shes not celebrating. We are on the brink of an historic, historic, unprecedented moment, but we still have work to do, dont we . It was the puerto rico vote and more superdelegates backing clinton that nbc gave her the win. Bernie sanders is not buying it. The people of california have the right to determine who is going to be president of the United States not necessarily strong listen to a. P. Or nbc. Reporter at sanders huge final rally in san francisco, he again, begged, superdelegates to switch to him. In every instance we beat trump by far larger margins than does hillary clinton. Reporter donald trump today claimed his calling a federal judge unfair and citing the judges mexican misconstrued. House Speaker Paul Ryan who has endorsed trump lashed out. Claiming a person cant do the job because of their race is the textbook definition of a racist comment. Chris christie said the issue wont matter to voters in his state. Hillary clinton assumes new jersey democrats will take her way over the top tonight before california is even counted. But if clinton loses california and the polls out there are very close, shes ahead in most by little, but the polling as been poor and its open which benefits Bernie Sanders if clinton loses california and ahead could be more division in the Democratic Party and she comes with the lock on the democratic nomination. Live from brooklyn, steve handelsman, news 4. Steve touched on Donald Trumps controversy and he n nominee and some republicans are echoing that sentiment in virginia and Trump Supporters are not concerned telling Bureau Reporter david culver theyre tired of being politically correct. David . I can tell you tonight, trumps Virginia Campaign chair is standing by what is a pretty controversial post that he put on his facebook page. His name is corey student and the chairman in Prince William county and he goes after some of the antitrump protesters as well as undocumented immigrants. It angered me what happened in san jose, california, where a bunch of thug, hoodlums come after Trump Supporters. This is the incident trumps Virginia Campaign chairman Corey Stewart is talking about. The people who attacked those Trump Supporters need to be punished, they need to be identified and to the extent that any of them are Illegal Immigrants that need to be removed from the country. The video so disturbing for stewart he decided p emphasized that if hes leelect Virginia Governor theyre coming into our communities, theyre raping, killing, assaulting and committing crimes and theyre being apprehended and then released by the federal government. Chairman stewarts comments are irresponsible. Scott serg ol represents 100,000 Prince William county residents and theyre good, lawabiding people and 98 of the people who are here, and the chairmans comments, another reason why this democrat is hopeful that Hillary Clintons wins tonight will bring party unity. Now that she has the dog and its locked up and california will nail it home, i think you will see everyone rallying around the nominee and well all move forward as one party. Its moving us in a really dire situation. For the conservative voter, the twoparty options makes it unappealing. I cant vote for hillary. Theres no way i can d know, i just dont think that hes really the answer, as well. Reporter for voters like ring owe who you heard from right there, primaries such as tonight are essentially irrelevant. Theyre looking for a thirdparty candidate to vote for. David culver, thank you. Bernie sanders exclusively with lester holt with nbc news about the race and why his next step will be turning over superdelegates. I believe if those superdelegates are honest with themselves, if they look at all of the National Polling and all of the state polling, the nature of our organization they will conclude that if we want to beat donald trump it is absolutely imperative that bee defeat donald trump and Bernie Sanders is the strongest candidate. Are you going to try to turn them . Yeah, we are. Were on the phone right now. You would be defying history. Defying history has been what this campaign has been about. Are you looking forward to the nominating conventions next month or are you sick of election politics. So far just about everyone who has participated in the poll say they are sick of it already.
