There was no gunman adding to the confusion when the report was made of an active shooter. Joint base andrews released a statement describing what unfolded this way. However, reports of a realworld active shooter situation at the medical facility were miscommunicated before the exercise was able to begin. There was a misidentification of the Security ForcesEmergency Services team who were conducting a routine inspection of the medical facility which caused the distress call. I thought the response was strong and solid so thats the good news. Reporter officials are not saying who made the call. Because i think we have to take these things seriously when they occur and im sure that if a mistake was made here, they were not doing that on purpose.
