And it was, like, way after dark. Reporter now, police have not identified the victim, but neighbors tell me the young man appeared to be in his 20s and they dont believe he lived in this apartment community. No suspect, no motive as i said before. Neighbors tell me they dont believe that there is any gang or drug activity within this apartment complex, but several of them told me that there is some trouble just outside this community along the main road. New this morning, a metro train hit and killed a man in northern virginia. This happened around 3 30 this morning. Between the franconiaspring field and van dorn stations. No passengers were on that train. It was empty and we know that service this morning was not impacted because of this. Meanwhile, the name of the victim has not been released. Right now two americans infected with ebola are headed to the United States. Dr. Kent brantly and Nancy Writebol are expected to land hours from now. They were infected with the disease while treating patients in africa. Ebola includes fever, muscle, pain and vomiting. However, the americans will be in a specially isolated unit at Emory University hospital which is in atlanta. Were one of only four institutions in the United States capable of handling patients of this nature. Take a look. This is one of the special rooms brantly and writebol will be in. They will be the first patients ever to be treated for ebola on american soil. You may be wondering with such a dangerous disease, how are the americans getting here . Especially without spreading that virus . Nbcs Stephanie Gosk shows us the plane bringing them over. Reporter the medevac is a tightly controlled process led by the state department and the cdc. Dr. Brantly and writebol will be flown separately on noncommercial planes like this one with multiple layers of protection to contain the virus. The gurney will be in a secured plastic tent, the patient enclosed in another layer of plastic. And anyone in that part of the plane covered head to toe in hazmat suits and gloves. They will land at the air force base not far from emory hospital. The center is close to the hazmat containment unit in nebraska. They are equipped with air filtration units. The patient is contained at all times. Doctors at emory say its enough protection. I will be one of the individuals who will be coming into direct contact with the patients. I have no concerns about either my personal health or the health of the other Health Care Workers who will be working in that unit. Reporter zpodespite assuran, it is triggering anger and fear. Officials say they are called to water rescues in this area quite often. Water troubles in california, students, faculty, and staff at the ucla campus are checking their cars this morning hoping they still work. After this huge water main break drenched them. Flooded parts of camp talked with several drives who didnt know theyd be walking or driving home. Reporter tow trucks on the west side have been quite busy. This is because the ride broke in midair. The coaster was on its way up to the peak height of 230 feet. A power failure caused this problem. Thankfully nobody was hurt.
