There will be buses but frankly the buses cant handle the regular crowds that we see here and its just math. Buses cant carry as many people as trains can. Transportation officials are hoping for a 60 in ridership from Prince Georges County. Thats an awful lot of people that have to figure out Something Else to do here. Take a look at whats going to happen during this phase two. The second surge of the construction here. Its happening between Eastern Market and minnesota avenue and benning road stations. Now that means that the two stations in between those points potomac avenue and stadium armory, they will close down entirely until the work is done. The hope here is that the work that will be done will make the system more reliable, safer, and certainly well see a lot of headaches as work goes forward. The control plan includes trapping and testing mosquitos in all eight wards. Up until this year it only tested for west nile virus. This year it added testing for viruses of three others. As of today the district says it has no confirmed cases of any of those viruses. We want to make certain that things that are of concern and being able to report that to the public.
