On tuesday, we ll see mostly sunny to partly cloudy late in the day, the clouds will thicken ahead of another cold front. That front will slide in wednesday, giving way to showers and a few isolated thunderstorms. High temperatures will warm into the mid 60s on wednesday, then fall into the lower 50s by thursday. Then, by the end of the week, our weather could get a bit interesting. Depending on the track of an area of low pressure over the area, we could see rain, wind and possibly a few snowflakes by friday. We ll watch it closely. In Portsmouth Police say two juveniles were shot this afternoon in two different incidents. The first happened just after 1030 on lancer drive. Police say the victim was shot in the hand and his mother was taking him to the hospital. No word yet on how he was shot, but he is expected to be ok. The second call came in around 1115 on moregate lane that s in the churchland section of the city. No word on how he was shot, or his condition. He was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for treatment. Police have not released the ages of either victim yet. In Newport News Police are investigating a shooting late last night. It was the third shooting of the day. It happened around 11 o clock on Jefferson Avenue near dresden drive. Police say when they got to the scene they found 18year old Horton Hunter with a gunshot wound to his leg. He was taken to the hospital and released shortly after but was then arrested by police. According to two outstanding warrants for assault and battery on a Family Member and a protective order violation. No word on who shot hunter. There were two other shootings in newport news yesterday one was on 25th street. Police say a 19yearold was shot in the leg twice. The victim says it was out of the blue. The other happened on Jefferson Ave in the parking lot of the pondo cafe and lounge. Police say a man was shot in the chest and was taken to the hospital with lifethreatening injuries. No word on his condition today but if you know anything about these two shootings call the crime line. On the military watch just days after the tornado outbreak the Virginia National guard, along with local, state, federal and volunteer organizations were out helping those in need in appomattox county. Petersburg and fredericksburg based battalions used chainsaws to cut down the debris in some of the hardest hit areas.
