Now developing in south jersey what started out as a magical night ended in tragedy. A carload of teenagers returning home from the prom careens out of control on route 49 in Maurice River township tonight two High Schoolers are dead. Two others are hurt and a community is in mourning. Their car was coming around a bend and ended up slammin slammo tree. Fox 29s brad sattin reports family and friends are trying to come to terms with the loss of these young lives taken way too soon. Reporter this the spot where the crash occurred. It has been a tough day for this community. In fact, so tough, one mourner actually fainted here a short time ago. And ambulances were called. In the darkness people arrived to show their respects after two young lives were cut short. The front end of the car they were in demolish. All right dogs started barking around 3 30. Catherine osbourne was asleep in her home 50 yards away and was told the four girls in the car were behind a group of boys all on their way home from ocean city after prom. The girls were following the boys and they said they just saw their lights go like off the road. Reporter their car slammed into a tree. Her husband rushed to help. They couldnt get the doors open and then all the rescue and fire game and they they got the three girls out and the driver didnt make it. Reporter Police Identified the driver as 17yearold day is a sultan. She and 15yearold Mikayla Mosley both died a16yearold girl is in Critical Condition. A 17 yeared stable. The toll on the community obvious on social media where one person tweeted a photo of the two girls that got more than 11,000 retweets. The Bridgeton High School students were at their prom when it ended at 10 00 they went ocean city to meet friends but crashed on the way home its been terrible past few weeks at the school. Some students learned of the tragedy while they were attending another students funeral. We are in mourning especially knowing that today we had the Funeral Services for one of our senior students who was tragically killed in a car accident rocks toll weeks ago. Detectives are still working this one throughout the night. Officers racing to the scene of east willard street at 3 30 this afternoon. There they found a woman who had been shot five times. Shes in Critical Condition tonight at Temple University hospital. Police do have one person in custody. And police in new jersey are looking for this woman. They say she has robbed at least three banks in the last two days. The first one was a wells fargo in willingboro township. Then just before noon yesterday that was just before noon yesterday. At 6 00 oclock last night, shes accused of robbing the td bank in hamilton. Police say she struck again when she allegedly robbed the td bank in willingboro township on all three occasions police say she hasnted the teller a note demanding money but she never showed a weapon. Even more unusual, shes believed to be about 60 years old. If you recognize her, call police. An 18yearold is facing aggravated Assault Charges for allegedly throwing Railroad Spikes over a University City overpass hitting several cars below. Four cars in fact driving on University Avenue last night were hit. It happened about 9 00 oclock. Railroad spike went through the windshield of one of the cars and was lodged in the dash.
