Reporter dawn, investigators say when Patricia Davenport drove to philadelphia with her eight year old son and her 15 year old daughter in the car to buy heroin, she wouldnt even wait until she returned to harleysville to start using the drugs. They claim she injected herself, her daughter and her daughters boyfriend on the ride back to the suburbs. Tonight shes behind bars with another suspect in the case that police and parents are just shaking their head about. Just shocking. I guess you never know. Reporter neighbors at the complex where 35 year old Patricia Davenport lived until recently were stunned to hear that she now stands charged with a long list of crimes. For allegedly buying and supplying heroin and other drugs to her 15 year old daughter and her daughters 16 year old boyfriend. Adults do have a lot of influence over kids and such, and sometimes you need to be better role model. Reporter she was arrested wednesday and charged after police say she had been taking her daughter and eight year old stepson to seventh and russell in philadelphia three to five times a week to buy heroin, cocaine and prescription drugs. For a mother to not only bring their child to philadelphia to purchase drugs on numerous occasions but to introduce her to the use of heroin and to inject her with heroin is unbelievable. Reporter davenport lived here on montgomery drive in harleysville until recently moving out. Police say she would do drugs an allow her daughter to snort or inject heroin right here. When i read this story about these allegations of a mother introducing her child to a drug like heroin, the devils poison, i am really at a loss for words. Reporter davenport said nothing during her Court Appearance except to ask for a public defender. Her bail was set at 50,000 cash. You see people coming from as far away as harleysville driving into north philadelphia straight corners to pick up heroin gives you some idea the magnitude of this heroin problem now. Police say the Emergency Department at Reading Hospital has been flooded with patients overdosing and getting sick from batch of k2. 55 people have been seen over the past seven days according to officials. High pressure will be settling in overhead for tonight as well as throughout the day on thursday. So thursday is dry but take look at what happens. Well watch some moisture stream out of the southwest and eventually toward the ohio river valley by friday. So by friday afternoon, were going to watch mostly cloudy skies across the area as well as some pockets of drizzle, some showers, its going to be chilly as we move into your friday time frame. Heres 4 00 p. M. You can see south jersey, central and southern sections of delaware, looking at that light rainfall. Its going to be pretty overcast area wide as well as just damp conditions. So as we take a look at the clock by friday night, you can see most of the coverage is in south jersey and delaware, but well still have some drizzle north and west of that. Moving toward the weekend, you can see saturday morning, were still looking at clouds as well as showers across the area. So this pattern will remain locked in.
