The 50yearold was critically injured at the criminal Justice Center back on august 4th when the employee elevator he was on crashed through the ceiling shaft. Hes been roughing from severe head and chest injuries at magee rehabilitation hospital. What are you looking forward to the most . Just being with my family. Its ban long time. Its one of the best days for me knowing that ive known paul for many years and now i get the opportunity to see him on his way home so he can be with his family. Reporter owens dr. Brian kuser said the sheriffs deputy made remarkable progress but still has many, many months of intensive therapy ahead. Its really up to paul. Paul has got great work ethic and the sky is the limit for him. Reporter owens now in wheelchair admits it has not been easy. Just trying to get back to regular life. The l Elevator Company and philadelphia municipal authority. Their Attorney Says they are seeking what he says is millions of dollars in medical bills and lost wages. Reporter we saw Public Officials and residents take a look at the beaches that have worn away and scratching their heads wondering whats next . Major parts of this North Wildwood beach went south during mondays wicked noreaster which chopped away large pieces of shore line. Its sad. I love this beach. Its my favorite beach, and i hope they can repair it by the summertime. Reporter city Officials Say an engineer and contractor will be on the case much sooner than that for a fix that could cost up to 200,000 and theres much bigger danger ahead with the next shore slicing storm. The ocean is right up to john f. Kennedy boulevard here f we dont fix this the next storm could do serious damage to the streets.
