Snow away from his car. This is live look, torresdale avenue northeast philly. I dont know, we will get him on the horn and send him over there. Typically you have one lane, well, because of the plowed snow, they only got maybe half lane here on torresdale avenue. There is ice all over the place. So thats an example of the neighborhood. Look at this guy, you think hes got a rough morning ahead of him trying to get the snow off of there . Here is live look. Good thing about it though hes plowing the snow to another car. Exactly, pushing it in front of the other guy, so if you are watching, throw him couple of extra buck and hell move it down to the next guy. Example of route 73, may epp shade, moorestown new jersey on and offramps are slippery, and icy, and here is a shot, i took from yesterday. Check it out. Alex, thomas, look at this knucklehead. Blowing the snow on to the roadway. Violation. Violation. Right there. Okay . Now, i just hope that no accidents occur, i hope that the school buses are going to be okay rolling through there. But thats an example of a nogo, again, with a snow blower, blowing the snow back into the already paved and treated surface. Here is a example of the accident that weve been watching this morning, lets go live. Skyfox over the scene of this crash in chaddsford at the intersection every route one and creek road. You got the sunoco on one corner, hanks place the diner on the other side. But look at all of the snow that is still at the intersection, and i bet that that had something to do with the crash hereof this morning, folks coming to a stop sign, r or the traffic signal this morning before the sun came up. It is tough to even see the black ice, let alone trying to stop on ice. So that stretch of route one, in chaddsford, closed, lets come back to the maps here, we roll along with amtrak. First they said modified schedule now starting to cancel some trains on the nor east corridor. When the power will get back after the storm knocked out electricity to thousands in our area . At the shore, theyre focused on drying out, after coastal flooding caused major problems. So our reporters are out in elements again for you this morning following the clean up. Lawyer never manning young, but first we start in south jersey, with steve keeley. Hes in mt. Laurel. Steve . Reporter well, do not be surprised if you hear from a lot of philadelphians how day two of the noreaster, or the day after, is actually worse than day one. Most people stayed in yesterday, stayed home yesterday, so they didnt have to deal with any problems. And today, youre going to be surprised by how many problems. Lets start right here on main street in maple shade. You know we never like to do anything twice unlike everybody does everything ten times over and over and over. With daylight we thought we cant leave this spot. Look at the phenomenon. Above us, this is a sheet of ice at least inch and a half thick that was snow. And then it froze because the sleet came down, coating the snow, and it was like putting super glue, coating every super glue on the snow. And chris is going it stay here while it is safe, but it is not going to be safe for lock, because thats going to break off eventually and fall. Weve got wind blowing, and so everything is dangerous, so chris come on out here, this is on an awning, we will give you the wider shot for you folks joining us, these are some of the dangers, see this little runoff and everything icy on the road. So that is a banner store next to a pizza shop. We will cross main street now, while there is no traffic. And give you the wide shot. And youll see this, i know youre like wow, so thats one of those fabric awnings, we look back on it right now once we get out of the street. And you get the idea, right next to vincents brick oven pizzeria. Look at that. And so thats a busy sidewalk on main street. And when the schools open, kids will be walking under that. And youll say why dont you break it off . The whole awning could come down, then the guy did shovel his walk, and we dont want it have the walk filled with ice. So we dont know whats more dangerous, so right across the street, look at this, bun of of traffic cones here, because tree came down. And right through that little hole in the tree you can make out part of the new jersey license plate. I went around the block since my last hit, guys, thats a hyundai under there. You can barely make it o but these cones wont be blowing away because look they put these cones down in the snow. Now theyre in ice. Theyll be there pretty solid. This one completely in ice here, the bottom of this cone. That gives you a sense how everything is frozen. But p pulled down power lines, then this tree, part of it, see half this tree is gone, part of this tree came down on these lines, as well. So, we come all the way down here, little built more. And maybe youll see the tree. Chris keep walking with me here. And youll see how the tree came down next to this apartment building. And made a bulls eye hit on that car. But even from this angle, im telling you, the other way, only ankle toll see that car is in the back. Maybe make out the back of it. Then above the tree you can see all of the electric power lines that connect to that transformer above the tree, and you can see how theyre dangling around the street light. So lots of danger still to be cleaned up, and lots every dangers no matter where you are walking, so when you go across the street again see there is a crosswalk there, and you see the yellow sign for the crosswalk, for the kids. But look at this sidewalk, it just ends, in the Two Mountains of snow and ice, so treacherous out here, even with daylight. You see the dangers of day two. So my guess, it will be a lot worse than day one of a noreaster, which is strange phenomenon. Crews will be add that to their list this morning. That was close on the car by the way. Little bit. Give me little credit. Little . We didnt give much to go off of, so good guess. From new jersey back to pennsylvania, yesterdays big storm left a lot of cleaning up to do here in our area. Some of the side streets still need to be plowed, cars need to be dugout. Lauren says ill get a shovel and help each one of those resident out, right . Did she say this. Exactly, alex, i didnt say that but i said ill bring the stories to you, were in manayunk, martin street here. Guys i will tell you, i already had my first slip on that black ice that steve keeley has been warning me b the sidewalks are pretty clear but it is when you make the transition from the sidewalk over to the street. So this gentleman here, we just saw him sort of scraping his windshield. Not sure if you can see from our angle, he didnt get much off. I think d pretty tiny scraper. You can see now, hes not moving very far, a lot of people over in this area are sort of plowed in, so it looks like the plows maybe came down the street once yesterday. And then at the didnt come back again, and, you know, knocked a lot of snow over into the side of the cars. So were on martin street in manayunk. Yes, same problems that steve is describing out in jersey. Were seeing here in manayunk. Where the streets have been plowed just slightly, but the conditions are not too good for people trying to get out. I dont know if you can see down there where greg is shooting someone trying to shovel his way out of that parking space there, as well. So it is a challenge for everyone, and things, this driver here, that greg was just shooting got a little frustrated, got out of the car, sort of yelled at us. So i think a frustrating morning for people that are stuck in these spot where the snow has left them trapped. Thomas, anal next. Yes, watching that person trying to work on their car, i can only imagine how frustrating it is. Because then if you try leave at the normal time you will be late. So do you have wake up even earlier, it is cold, you cant feel your hands, just trying to get it together. It is cold. Personal day. Hopefully the boss will understanded if youre late. Are you telling meme to call out . Everybody aint able now, hole on. Well the shore was spared from the high snow totals. Other areas in our region saw. Instead the storm brought strong winds, flooding, and of course beach errosion. Karen hepp in the news room with this one, karen . So it is a big clean up time, whether youre dealing with the snow or trying to deal with some of the damage that happened because a lot of the flooding down the shore because they got all of the rain. Lets take a look, they had the high tides right there. This is what happens whenever we have a kind of storm like there is all the sudden ten looks like there are rivers instead of streets there is was sea isle area, somers point, lot of flooding right up to the houses now people who live down there, certainly used to it, you know, all the sudden Mother Nature comes along with big storm, rims up the whole beaches there. Steels all of the sands, washes it down, thats what happened here. This is one of the scenes. So then they have the beach replentishment project, busy working on, that thats this is what the beach looks like there, still have to fix it up. Avalon had to shut down 9 million beach replentishment project a week after it start but im sure theyll be right back at it. It is literally putting a band aid on each time it happens. Ultimately, the ocean will win. You just cant wait for the next storm to come. Otherwise there will be no beach, and then the next step is the sand dunes, and the next step is the houses. So the governor had a big news conference, governor chris christie, he says most likely there will be money for the beach towns who had in need of fixing their beaches once again. The avalon project is set to be finished by memorial day weekend. Resident down there all too familiar with this. It is tough trying to stay one step ahead of this. And wildwood ends up with a boetsch a mile long because all of the sand gets washed up there. Also an update on the breaking news out every center city. Firefighters at 15th and south. Still battling the flames there. You can see, theyre still smoke coming out of the back of building, you can see firefighters on the roof there. And they say now that a second floor deck may have collapsed into the building. And this fire broke out just before 6 00. Theyve been battling it for little more than an hour now. The building has apartment on top, and two businesses on the bottom level. We havent heard of any injuries just yet. But as you can see, fire fight remembers in that deck area now. And this is coke cocoa chicken answer walt, also the loft bar. That theyre working on. Firfirefighters doing amazing job, with the water and icing so quickly the weight that far also playing a factor, so well stay on top of this one. Time is 7 11,. His political opponents have long sought the release of those tax document, and the White House Well as you can imagine none too pleased about this one, calling it illegal doug luzader in washington this morning. A lot of questions remain. Good morning. Yes, you know, theyre not happy about this. That much is clear. But theyre in the questioning the ought ten tis at this of the documents either. Now trump critics say that there needs to be more disclosure along these lines, trump backers say that these documents are evidence that this tax thing is just not an issue. What i have here copy of Donald Trumps tax returns. There was a lot of build up. In fact, Msnbc Rachael took to social media heat for waiting so long in her snow deliver some good last night. Eventually, she got there. Donald trumps two page, 1040 form, from 2005. The numbers are as you would expect large. Trump earned about 153 million that year. But even after some big writeoffs, he still paid a fair amount of taxes. Thirtysix and a half million. According to former New York Times journalist, david k johnston, the returns simply arrived in the mail. Came in the mail over the tran some. And there is actually nothing improper about journalists, if you havent solicited something, getting it over the tran some. White house tried to get a jump on the news releasing the same information and suggesting that last nights reporting was legal. You know you are looking for ratings willing to violate a story about two page every tax returns from over a decade ago. Trumps refusal to release his returns became an Ongoing Campaign issue. But rival Hillary Clinton at one point is suggesting he may not have paid any taxes at all n reality, trumps effective tax rate was only a bit below what average top earners were paying that year. If donald trump paid what was the equivalent i guess of about 25 , in federal taxes, federal income taxes, i think he needs a better tax attorney. I mean, i mean, if i were trump, i wouldnt be worried about this at all. Still democrats will keep up the heat on trump. Arguing that his claim that he cant release his returns because of ongoing irs audits, just doesnt holdup. Now, we dont know where these things originated f again, the journalist who got them says that these just arrived in his mailbox. But he also suggested that they may have come from trump himself. Thomas, alex . He did suggest that. Well, meanwhile, trump already tweeted this morning, doug, i want to read this tweet to you. He said does anybody believe a reporter who nobody ever heard of went to his mailbox and found my tax returns . And he tweets at nbc news fake news. You think he has a point . Reporter listen tax real mystery. Look, if somebody is he irs, for instance, released this, i mean, thats potentially a crime. What we do know is that there is a staff on the second page of this that says client copy. That may tell us something. But more to come on this one, doug luzader in washington, thanks. Guess might need to get someone new then to work on his taxes if it did come from his person. Interesting. Im sure much more will come out of this.
