But people were talking with say that its been more crowded than usual. As people try to figure out a way to travel without the metro train. I plan an hour an hour to get there. Think about taking up the bike or uberring it. You know, im not here. Im from montreal. So i dont know how this works. Police are saying that the shot that killed officer jakai colson that we reported sunday evening. It was not an errant bullet, as first reported. Instead, he was mistaken as an attacker. And mistaken for a fellow shopper. Who had no idea he was aiming at one of his own. What an unfortunate revelation there. Youve heard these terms, fog of war, the chaos of the gunfight. Thats what was happening there last night. Just compounds this terrible tragedy. Chief hank dewinski breaking the news this afternoon, after a bail hearing for the accomplices of the shooter in that attack on the Police Station sunday night. An attack that resulted in the friendlyfire death of officer jakai colson. The shot that struck and killed detective colson was deliberately aimed at him by another Police Officer. Te the tragic circumstances as chaotic. Bizarre gunfight wa suicidal man attacking the station unfolding. Colson was an undercover director. Coming out with his gun out, firing at the attacker. I do not believe that any Police Officer intentionally fired at another Police Officer. I believe that a Police Officer fired at an armed individual, who they perceived to be a threat to them. Reporter four officers, including colson, fired guns during the incident. Stuwinski has not identified which officer killed colson. Meanwhile, the two accomplices in the attack were denied bail in court today. After one, 21yearold malik ford fainted and collapsed. Family members, including his father, begged the judge to release ford and his 18 were in the wrong place at the wrong time. The brothers are used of laughing while using cell phones to videotape the incident. Michael ford intended to die by promostlymostly cloudy voking provoking police. Elijah recorded him because no one would believe him upon. Some of the relatives started sobbing and crying when malik ford fainted. He eventually recovered. Both brothers were denied bail on assault and attempted murder and conspiracy for taping all of this. Police called the friendlyfire death of officer colson a murder. And the accused shooter, michael ford, was wounded by police. Prosecutors said he fired at least 20 shots sunday night. Degree murder and faces a bail hearing tomorrow. Just blazing and fire and smoke and it were just praying for the families. Reporter meanwhile, neighbors pray and wait for answers. There was nothing you could do. There was nothing you could do.
