An Airline Spokesman says a passenger on board flight 1074 to denver did not follow crew instructions. The boeing 737 returned to the gate. Police took that passenger into custody. And then the person was taken to the hospital for an evaluation. The flight did take off again just after midnight and it landed in denver earlier this morning. A d. C. Police officer in serious trouble this morning. Officer darrell best has been arrested and charged with sexually abusing a minor. Nikki burdine is live outside the d. C. Police headquarters with more on the suspect who is also a local pastor. How did police learn about this . Reporter police learned about this over the weekend when the alleged minor, the alleged victim in this case filed charges against officer darrell best. And these are disturbing charges when they involve anyone, but especially when they involve a person in a position of power and trust as darrell best is. Hes a Police Officer with mpd and also a pastor at this church. Take a look at this video. This is the church in southeast called goda Second Chance ministry. Its an all girls church. The alleged victim is a 16year old girl. She says the abuse happened on three separate occasions and it started in december of last year. Officer best lives in Upper Marlboro and he was arrested yesterday. He is facing sexual abuse of a minor. Right now mpd is investigating and theyre asking anyone with information because as we know so often in cases like these, additional victims come forward. They were taken through the windows of their homes along the U Street Corridor in mount pleasant. Rosen is already facing charges of soliciting a juvenile for sex in fairfax county. In the the latest cases hes now charged with voyeurism. Montgomery county police say the shooting of a man near downtown Silver Spring is a random crime. It happened during a robbery attempt last night along piney branch road. Police say the man was walking toward dale drive when someone came up behind him and shot him. The victim is in Critical Condition and no arrests have been made. A new bill being considered in maryland would increase the penalty for hazing. Testimony in this bill is scheduled for later dacht the hearing comes one later today. The hearing comes within day after a College Lacrosse team, a member was suspended for hazing. Whats the penalty now for hazing . Reporter right now if youre found guilty of hazing, that is a penalty of about 500 in a fine and six months behind bars. A Senior State Department official daniel rosen is now accused of secretly videotaping two dozen women while they were undressing in their homes. Rosen was out on bail for allegedly soliciting a minor when he was rearrested. Police say he used his cell phone to video women sometimes through some pulled curtains or shades. All of the video was shot in d. C. Neighborhoods, including u street, adams morgan and mount pleasant. A soldier on leave from fort meade is now linked to a homicide in pennsylvania. Investigators say caleb barnes was visiting his 14yearold girlfriend in lee high county. Thats when they say he stabbed the girls mother and buried her in a shallow grave. The girlfriend is charged with abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence. The mother wanted to end their relationship. They say they were punched, kicked and pamgdzed to paddled just to joining a college fraternity. Now they share their stories with maryland lawmakers. Reporter right now in maryland hazing can get you up to six months behind bars, maybe a 500 fine, but one lawmaker says that simply doesnt go far enough and is not stopping the activity from taking place.
