This morning the jury deliberations are set to begin in the Boston Marathon bombing trial. Five men and seven women will decide the fate of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev in the attacks that left four people dead and more than 260 other hurt. Reporter jurors begin pouring over 16 days of evidence and testimony in this federal courthouse. This is the first time they are allowed to discuss the case as well as the 30 counts that Dzhokhar Tsarnaev faces which ranges from use of weapons of mass destruction to conspiracy. Federal prosecutor didnt miss when he described Dzhokhar Tsarnaev in closing actions. This was a cold calculated terrorist act. This was intentional. It was blood thirsty. It was to make a point. The jury saw Dzhokhar Tsarnaev setting down his Pressure Cooker bomb right behind a row affchildren. The prosecutor argued these children werent innocent to him. They were american. Of all places he could have placed the bomb he placed it there. Prosecutors say evidence like the alleged confession prove he was willing participant in the bombings. It ended with a montage of graphic images of the after math. Jihadi chants found on the defendants mobile devices. The defense says he did it but was manipulated by his older brother. She said evidence shows it was tamerlan who bought the materials, built the bombs. She said we dont deny that he fully participated in the event but if not for tamerlan it would not have happened. If the jury finds him guilty on any of the 30 charges the sentencing phase will begin next monday. And if any of those guilty verdicts come down on one of the 17 capital offenses he is charged with that very same jury will begin to hear evidence to decide whether Dzhokhar Tsarnaev deserves life in prison or the death sentence. This morning a fourth man is under arrest in a new york terrorism case involving isis. The suspect is a citizen who lived in brooklyn accused of plotting with send u. S. Residents overseas to fight with isis. Prosecutors say he delivered 1,600 to a man headed to syria. That suspect was arrested in february at jfk airport. This morning president obama is rejecting a deal with israel. Benjamin netanyahu wants a final agreement to include recognition of israels right to exist but president obama said that is unrealistic to expect iran to recognize israel. He calls it a fundamental misjudgment. Kentucky senator rand paul is expected to run in the race today. 39 of republicans would consider voting for the senator but 23 would not back him.
