Managing Director of TransJamaican Highway Ivan Anderson. TransJamaican Highway Limited (TJH) says it will be “devoted” to studying the opportunity to operate the future section of Highway 2000 East-West. Currently being planned, the new section (Phase 1C), will comprise 28 kilometres between May Pen and Williamsfield, according to the company’s annual report. TJH has expressed an interest in the Montego Bay leg of the highway, which would see another 50 kilometres added to its network. It also announced that a gas station will be constructed by Total on lands adjacent to the Portmore toll plaza. TransJamaican Highway recorded losses of US$1.8 million (audited and revised) in 2020 in a year that saw movement restrictions put in place to stem the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19).
