Nearly two months after back-to-back ice storms slammed southwestern West Virginia, toppled trees and broken limbs still block hiking trails at some state parks and forests. On the Overlook Trail at Beech Fork State Park, a large pine tree just 100 yards from the trailhead prevents visitors from going any farther. Volunteers are scheduled to do more trail-clearing on the park during the second week in April. JOHN McCOY | HD Media
