Trinity man dies after being struck by vehicle The Courier-Tribune A Trinity man died Monday after being struck by a vehicle, according to the N.C. State Highway Patrol. At 10:23 a.m. on March 15, Tyler Lee Gray, 30, was parked on the westbound shoulder of N.C. Highway 62 near Colonial Circle in Randolph County. Gray's Honda pickup truck was partially in the roadway, and he was towing a utility trailer behind it. Troopers said Gray was standing outside of his truck when Lawrence Edward Walker, 80, of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, tried to pass him. While passing Gray, a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction caused Walker to merge back into the westbound lane and collide with Gray, according to the Highway Patrol.
