The troubled rebirth of TVR has gained a new lifeline, securing a £2m funding boost to help secure the future of the brand and get its new Griffith to market. While this is well short of the £25m TVR has been aiming to raise in order to get its facilities in Wales up and running, this is at least a glimmer of hope for the troubled brand after years of inactivity due to fiscal complications. The first cars were due for delivery in early 2019, and all looked healthy with a £40m order bank and secured funding from both financial partners and the Welsh government, but now some two years after that initial deadline, its Ebbw Vale factory remains untouched.
