02:35 EDT, 14 April 2021 Two South Australian police officers have been charged with assault after an investigation by the Independent Commissioner Against Corruption. In a public statement on Wednesday, commissioner Ann Vanstone QC said it would be alleged several police patrols became involved in an extended pursuit of a man suspected to be driving a stolen vehicle in October 2019. The man eventually abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot, running through a number of properties before hiding.
